Not my fault that everyone and their grandma updated when it goes against common sense to do so when trying to obtain root. That cve was our biggest chance. Those cves are patched in b12

Well then. I guess there isn't much hope for rooting this device and getting recovery flashed. There is an app in playstore that can flash recovery, but I'm sure we'd have to have selinux permissive and probably at least be able to access bootloader so we could actually fix if bricked...It don't
B12 or b14?The update fixed most of the bugs that made this phone virtually worthless. I think having a usable phone is better than root.
B12 gave me alot of headache wasn't worth the install tbchBoth.
The only issues I really had with B12 was keyboard lag occasionally. The dual versions of every system app are still an issue. We have Metro's and Google's version of everything.B12 gave me alot of headache wasn't worth the install tbch

B12 fixed my phone randomly rebooting, and my severe battery drain. I took OTA, so it wasn't very hard to install, however, the next day, my wife's wouldn't even find the update and never has.
I still have one that was never updated, but it doesn't have service either. I switched the service over to an on5 because PDAnet works on it.I hated that my texting lost autocorrect in b12
They pulled b12 because it was extremely buggy for alot of people
Aren't you just the optimistic one? If we manage to get root on this device, and a working recovery, I'm sure there will be at least one or two custom Roms. There are a few people who can help get nougat ported once we get a way to flash it. Even if it's just a ported axon nougat ROM... But after recent findings, I don't look for ZTE to update us to nougat officially. That being said, I'm probably going to be grabbing a new phone when my tax return gets back to me.
I have a feeling it will get nougat eventually. The fact that they are updating their low end models at all is a good sign. They want to build a customer base.Aren't you just the optimistic one? Yeah. I bricked a phone trying that. I didn't have any way to restore the file I corrupted running the script. The phone wasn't stable enough to take another shot at it. We don't have copies of the files in the root directory to replace them either as far as I know. I think the phones that has worked on already had recovery available.Does anyone has try this on linux ?

Since when? I haven't even had any issues except bizzare WiFi glitches. The update fixed most of the bugs that made this phone virtually worthless. I think having a usable phone is better than root.
The first two I had were horrible. They wouldn't work for a half an hour without needing to be rebooted. I swapped those out for two that didn't constantly freeze. They still had issues with touch, and keyboard lag. The screen would go haywire. Auto-rotate got stuck all the time. I was always having to reset because it lost LTE. B12 made it less frequent. It didn't fix it completely.Since when? I haven't even had any issues except bizzare WiFi glitches.
