Sapphire, you rock bro. I never left, just didn't have anything new to add. And some of the people on here we're getting to be a little much.
All y'all complaining and talking $#*! haven't even been around that long, put in any leg work, or posted anything helpful. Sapphire, Messi, Loony, and several more have been on it since this thread was created to clean up another thread that was dragged down with the same kind of bull $#*!. GTFOH. You'd be mad as hell if Sapphire succeeded and didn't give it you for publicly bashing him. Keep up the good work Sapphire. Invite me to the discord. Maybe I can help.

I've now been banned from the ZTE Zmax Pro Root Discord for "disagreements" about the industry I work in. I don't have this phone anymore, but I might be able to provide info to @loonycgb2 @messi2050 in the future shall they need it. 6XX Chip info, because, looking at Messi's TWRP, things just need a bit of tweaking, and Sapphire banned him over it, so, I probs wont be on this forum much, BUT I'll be around and on twitter if you want me. Good luck everyone. Keep your eyes peeled, chinese devs are pointing their aim on 6XX chips since those are the chips most phones sold to natives use. If you know anyone who speaks chinese, baobao forums has a lil forum that has gone leagues farther than here. Aight, seeyall.

Yes its unfortunate devs helping root a phone nobody has interest in is acting in such a way, makes the whole community crap when it happens.

My zmax pro has been perma rooted for sometime now and have a cooked rom running on it, but with the situation previously happening i provided info towards a quick root which seems to have gone untouched.

I dont plan to continue with anything further as i have given the phone to my son.

The chinese devs have gone into the jtag area to root which people here would probably not be able to accomplish due to severity of damage.

Messi got banned? Thats pretty harsh when sapphire has received much help to even get where hes at now.

Hopefully he can accomplish his goal of rooting this phone as many devs have decided not to continue due to issues with others.

Good luck ive moved onto the galaxy note 8 now.

Nice. I don't have a ZMax Pro anymore so RIP the dream. I love my Oneplus 3 and I wish you luck on your future endeavors :) BTW Note 8 has a sliiight issue with the CoT thats getting patched next month but I didn't say anything. :x

I own a Oneplus two and plan to purchase the oneplus 5t when it releases.

Lol care to elaborate? I just purchased it few weeks ago and have not opened the package.
 
So my question here is are we going to get back to rooting this Zmax Pro or I'm I going to have to go back to my LG K7 with Kali Linux installed. Because I would really love to have this on my Zmax Pro. Bickering, arguing and frequent banning people is sometimes needed in order to achieve greatness.

It depends on your build number, if you are on december 2016 security patch or later it won't work.

If you saw my previous temp root screenshot i had used a b20 version updated phone.

Had issues since i had no actual source of the system file i was modifying, but it did modify it and threw me into sahara before dm-verity kicked in.

Source had to be modified since the system file present in source is non existent.

Also i didn't see any thing that actually works all was a talk..
 
But on a serious note I really don't mind using my Zmax Pro in the name of research I just ask to give me some time to find a charger for my laptop and I'm all yours. Like I said I have my LG K7 as a back up and I don't plan on bricking my Zmax Pro. Root for this phone is long over due and root will only add to the awesomeness of the Zmax Pro
