I'm not getting a connection error anymore, but still says my version is up to date, as well as the wife's.
 
So apparently someone got a security error, I guess the phone locks if you root or flash something unauthorized...So I'm guessing ZTE added a few tricks if you root it.

Why exactly is your phone broken? I actually have updated to b14 at midnight today no problem. My phone likes this update. It's faster and it fix the predictive text. Only problem I see is the video call greyed out but can access it the other way and when I test it, it is working fine so I don't know what the deal with the greyed out icon, WTF.

This phone is like all about chance. It's like gambling when you update. It screwed my phone on b12 update but now on b14 I hit the 'jackpot'. I am liking my phone now. It is still shitty in general though.

I have a spare. I have no idea how it would need to be rewired. I could put some sort of pin header on the back of a female USB connector. Without any knowledge of how it needs to be shorted, or even if it does it's probably just a good way burn up a USB port. Hopefully not the phone, or motherboard along with it.

Mine is running fine. These phones do seem to be hit or miss. It seems like everything they do messes up as many as they improve.

Yap. That's the shitty part about this phone. This phone and ZTE and metro is just a combination of a perfect mess. LOOOL. I mean the update thing/situation is a MESS! For some people it work, for others it has errors, I meant WTF. I am not complaining though coz this update fix my phone for real it is faster, for sure. Even the battery performance seems fix though I still have yet to see if it really is.
 
Who made the zip for 12 ??? Hopefully they can release b14 zip as well I only did manual because ZTE don't like to send updates to everybody phone smh

I'm hoping someone pulled the zip, and uploads it somewhere. I always keep a copy of the zips I download in my mega account until I go to a new phone. (Custom Roms, update files, apps, all)
 
I just received it. I'm going to pull it for uploading. Just have to wait on it to finish downloading to my device.

Mine has gotten better every time. The first two phones I bought were total garbage. They were so bad that when I swapped them out I was planning on trying everything I could think of on them until I owned them or they were bricked. I didn't care. One of the ones I swapped out was bricked. It wouldn't even come on.
