I admire you staying this long...try to set it up so they have TO PAY for root if you do indeed crack the code ;)

You are inciting a riot which is not considered to be a very bright idea. Burning out in such a way is what got the broken os community killed for the zmax. It also killed the original rooting community for the zmax until kingroot came out with a viable method.
 
I'm just wondering.. If no one downloads it. Does that mean no one should donate? How about those that test using their phone at their own risk? Are they not contributing or do you only consider those pay contributing? I don't know how you look at this but if that file flashes and it breaks my phone. Not like I can ask the community to pay me back for it. I test it knowing my risk. I downloaded the file. I haven't touched the file ever since downloading it because I know there is no way to use it. But I want to have a copy of it on my computer in case the link goes down and might need it at that time.

No matter how good a person at rooting a phone, if they don't have the phone and no one downloads to test. You won't know if that root works or not. So how many downloads shouldn't matter, especially when everyone knows it doesn't do anything at this point.

Also, Thanks Messi. I am glad that you are still on this. Sorry for not donating but I am willing to test anything you can give me to test and I am willing to risk my phone to test it.

This is why I roll my eyes when someone says they'll give some ridiculous donation like 40 or 50 bucks. I've been around long enough to see that they rarely go through with it. People usually don't give more than a few bucks at any one time.

You seem to have misunderstood his message. The point is that when someone says they are going to give $50 it just annoys the crap out of the people who have been around long enough to know that it is nothing but talk. I wonder how many of the people promising huge donations have actually put their money where their mouths are. My guess would be that none of them have.

The only thing Messi has asked for is the device or the funds to buy one. He never asked us to pay him for his time (originally, anyway)

In any case, the ONLY person who has any right to fairly comment on the flow of cash to Messi...is Messi. Those of you who keep harping on everyone to send him money need to calm down and get back to the topic's subject. If you're not creating a solution, you're just another part of the problem.

Honestly, if he's going to turn the root method into a premium, then he needs to stop asking for donations and people can pay him once he has a product to sell.

The topic of this thread isn't "Send Messi Money", it's "Zmax Pro Root Discussion". If you want to talk about sending Messi money and for why, start a new topic and put your flamethrowers away!

Nino your comments are foolish.. quit with the money already. your adding obstacles to a course thats already been treaded. Why would i give a dev a $100+ device if he were to charge for the root exploit... I make the sacrifice, and messi gives his time, hes getting a great device for almost free... That is more than enough. I make the sacrifice for you guys, Messi has not said he would charge for the root. If you are more than regularly happy with his work THEN donate or send him a device heck haha but stop with the money, things are handled dude..
 
Maybe Messi should not bother with rooting this phone. In the end it doesn't really need root. Is it worth the headaches?
Also charging for root is just going to piss some people off and you will get somebody who will "warez" it

I still don't get what does that 500 mean? Does that 500 that downloaded that file have root? Or are you saying downloading it means anything special? I really don't understand why you keep commenting on the download. Seriously, for this phone. I only want it for tethering. And currently, tethering is working using the ttl=65 method for me. So if we have root, great. if not. its also ok with me. I love the phone nonetheless.
 
Of course, because people want something to show for a donation, even if it's only a dollar. That's just how investments go, you may score or end up walking away with nothing.

I used to take part in bounties for root, dev devices and such. But after so many that were abandoned, forget it. I thought after flipping through here that Messi would already have a Zmax in hand, so what happened? How much money is needed, or is it a device that he needs?

I'd love to help out with a device, but my wife is still using her zmax. I need to buy her something with a good camera (not cheap), looking into a moto x pure, before I can give the zmax away

Not everybody is willing to "donate" money to something that isn't even available yet. Personally I don't think anyone needs to root this phone, it's not needed.

This is a prime example of what I mean. Pray tell, why are you in a thread about achieving root for the ZMAX Pro if you don't care about achieving root for the ZMAX Pro? If you don't want to root your phone and you don't see any sense in doing so or donating to the cause, then great, I'm happy that you're happy with it. But please, keep those opinions to yourself, it doesn't really make any sense to post them here. There are plenty of other people, myself included, that would like to see this phone rooted.
