Root ZTE ZMAX Pro (Z981) "device donation" root discussion

@messi2050 I have an Unlocked New never activated BLU G2 dual sim Android 6.0 that cost me 107 that I'm trying to trade someone for a ZMAX PRO. Do you or anyone know anyone willing to trade? I'm in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I could then give the device to @messi2050 for the donor..... I'm only trying to help no harm intended

i'm waiting for a good offer , all available options have bad esn/scratches/cracked screen..etc & new one starts at 149$ with fast international 10 day shipping [bordrlinx] it will cost about 210 usd with taxes..etc
and with slow up to one month shipping [S&S] it will cost about 190 usd , i got 178 for the dev device so i'm not sure which option to go with..

Messi ... Couldn't someone on this side of the planet walk into a Metro-PCS store and buy one and send it you DHL or FedEx which ever, and pay em back ... ??? I think it'll be cheaper
 
I did alot of reading on this thread. ....whatever you guys need. Chinas big on devices Got bored and searched up some software to this phone... Came up with a ZTEUSA link that said its an update tool. Heres the thing... The language in it says that Its a firmware update tool that installs the firmware version that you have selected. Than it says you can install said update you chose.... It also tells you in the guide how it goes to download mode using specific keys. or as it mentions -FTM mode. It gives me the impression you guys thought way too hard into this and maybe ZTE is more user friendly than we think- and maybe that after OEM unlock to bootloader- That maybe rooting could be as simple as using ZTEs tool to flash... No Pressure.. :eek: but you know you are this device's Last Hope of obtaining Root Access..
There is nothing new that is going to Miraculously appear that will Root the ZMP.. maybe Kingroot by Quarter 2 or 3 of 2017 if enough request come in.. but at what cost? running Kingroot should ALWAYS be one's last option.. :cool:

I've retired mine to "Bed Netflix Player" and running my Note 4.. I hope you can open the door to Cyanogenmod, Xposed, Bloat Removal and all the glory that Root Access brings. :cool:

Thanks mate , i got this device totally by ur & other contributions that are much appreciated by me so no need for more donations as i already got the device , now let's hope for some progress on obtaining root :)

@messi2050 please keep me in mind. I don't mind helping any way I can. I have Windows 7. Also our device of course. Especially if we can recover bricks/flash new firmware or mod stock for starters. I've used various apps/apk to root. Adb recognizes my zmax pro. What's up with the system write protect commands etc reboot delemmcwp
