Root ZTEROOT

As far as lookout if it is set as a system app no...by default with this phone you have no system write access...you need to dd boot to recovery to have system write access

Sorry for the stupid question, but how did you get .bat file to run? I have temp root, but no app to run a .bat file.
The .bat file extension is a windows batch file, which is like a script for a command prompt. If you still have temp root and don't have access to a PC then hurry up and install twrp recovery before you lose temp root.

Forgive me for the foolish question here, but I've successfully used both Kingroot method and then the script method, Now it doesn't boot into recovery at all, instead to the android OS, which according to the script is normal. Fair enough, it's part of the root exploit. My question is, considering I prefer to have access to my recovery, can I install TWRP after having used the root method for permaroot described in this article? As it is I don't seem to have access to any recovery at all except the soft factory reset available in system settings. I would prefer having a hard recovery method available in the case of boot loops or soft bricks. Again forgive me for a foolish question.

Its good that you brought that up. The factory reset in the system settings uses the stock recovery that you don't have anymore. If you try to factory reset you will brick your phone.

IF YOU HAVE NOT UPDATED YOUR PHONES THIS WILL NOT WORK

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TEMP ROOT THIS WILL NOT WORK

DO NOT FLASH THE CONTAINED ZIP FILES.. UNZIP THEM AND RUN ZTEROOT.BAT

This file cuts all the dirty work out of the root method... after hours of testing not one device has been bricked because of the script...

Thanks to @mingolianbeef @Flame3element for help writing, cleaning it up and being my first victu......... beta testers
Thanks to @jcase @beaups for the commands and all the work it took to find them

If there are any legitimate problems with the scripts pm me so i can try to fix them.....
even with all of the testing we did something may have snuck through

**************EDIT***************

Ok so after some troubleshooting with another user on XDA i came to realize i made an error with the last five commands in the script so ive updated the zip files to amend "su -c" from the last 5 commands....

I was testing against an already rooted device so those commands slipped under the radar as successful... the rest of the rules still apply but the scrip should now work 100%
Hey bro, I think there needs to be a warning that trying to factory reset after using this script will cause a brick. This community has too many people who don't know any better.

I assumed this would cause bricking; that's why it isn't useful and why I want to know if, now that I have permaroot with R/W access, CAN I INSTALL TWRP AFTER THE FACT? If so, which version (IF ANY) is viable for the Z970 variant from T-Mobile?

Yeah you can install twrp easily. You can get it from HERE and if you still want to be able to mount system rw then check out THIS THREAD.

As far as it goes using a factory reset with any of our current methods can brick a device... Now if they use this method and leave current partitions in place a factory reset is harmless.... I've done it a few times on this device in testing the new scripts I'm working on

I thought that your script got rid of the stock recovery

You guys must hate this and I hate to ask...
I have a ZTE N9130 4.4.4
So far, no root has worked. Is this the one for me?

It might work but it might brick your phone so I strongly advise against it. This is made for the zmax z970 and trying to use it on a different device would be very risky. My advise is not to try it.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I'll keep searchin'. Thanks Masterchief87.

(any suggestions?)
