Root ZTEROOT

Here is my video of my ZTE ZMAX Z970 running Android 4.4.4 Build B13 being rooted by the latest Kingroot.

And as in terms of not buying it, I take 20's, 50's and 100's
Question.

Did you remove all the KingRoot apps AFTER installing TWRP and Super SU? I had to after achieving root and installing TWRP on the B06 build.

I apologize for bombarding you with questions, but, did you cram your RAM with power intensive apps prior to running the latest version of King Root? o_O

I was gonna ask you to upload the screenshot of the build number, but found your video and will definitely try this out. I'm still rooted from the B06 build. Thanks for the proof.

Here you go.

Had anyone attempted to see if Super SU will survive root AFTER the OTA update by clicking the "Survival Mode" button?

Yes I did. I kept the TWRP installer and SuperSU. But that is something I do with all phones I root and has no meaning beyond that.

Thank you! I'm gonna try this out tonight.
Hmm...interesting. I just tried to install the OTA update and apparently it failed. Probably because I already have TWRP installed. Should I permanently unroot (a term that seldom appears in my vocab lol) and try again?o_O

I am curious as to why you want to update to the OTA. It doesn't do much except close a former root exploit hole and activates band 12.

Then again, instead of tampering with this accomplished device, I could always buy another Zmax (unlocked, of course), update it if not done already and test that method on it.

Do not root try to put a Rom on this yet !!!!! You will brick your phone ...it may be rootable but it is still not safe to do !!! Look up research on Android forums and G+ ZTE ZMAX discussion page for further assistance and info
