Root ZV6 V.5 Stock Mod - Debloated - No Gapps

Nothing to it bro. Im having fun. That's what its all about. This particular one is an experiment for me also. No pc involved. Im doing it all from the volt itself. I always knew our droids could do it all anyway. So Im just proving it to my self by using nothing but my volt to do it. Its actually pretty fun not having to jump between my pc and my droid to test something.

Also the .so lib file from egl folder is still intact, might cause a conflict.

So, if I flash this from TWRP, I will have GAPPS, but no ZV6 reminder?
 
Yeah basically. I suggest flashing the rom,then the zvbuster pack with gapps then reboot. The zip will suggest you wipe caches but that's for people who dont do a fresh install. Which I think they should do especially if they already installed some other gapps
 
I dont think the build dates matter much hash. In fact it may be such an issue with the way lg checks the system that it defaults to pushing us nothing at all again regardless of newer updates. They see an altered system and push nothing. Even if that's not the case it hasnt effected what we were trying to do. So I figure it may end up being a help more than an issue.

Sorry, another issue
Xperia keyboard FC's when selected as default and also FC's when downloading dictionary. Does the swiftkey lib file need permissions to 644?

Will note in OP for users to delete the libGLES_android.so file from system/lib/egl after flashing. Overlooked that. I have had it in my system the whole time lol. Well deleted now. Will update those zips with something to delete the file whem flashing.
 
If you have the stock keyboard still installed it may cause Xperia keyboard to crash. I got oddities trying to keep both. As for the permissions on the file Never interfered with me using it. I am now. Also if you just flashed over the zip without fresh install that could be an issue also. Both try to be default keyboard.

Is there a lib file for stock that needs to be deleted or renamed?

Wouldn't any app like some web browsers that happen to use stagefright be affected as well? For this reason I choose to stay on ZV6 rooted, for now

There are vulnerabilities everywhere, the question comes back to user use. If you are vigilant in your security you'll be fine; ie. you dont visit sites that are unsavory, you dont have your attachments on MMS auto download, or email attachments that auto open.
Most updated browsers will have any fixes implemented in their newest releases.

Going all ZV6. Should have two roms ready by morning. One with Gapps and one without. This was fun but all of the extra zips and do this and do that might be confusing to many users. Taking downloads down now and editing thread title and OP to reflect changes. See you all in the morning with two simple roms that will have what's wanted both ways. The roms will be odexed. Based upon kwknotts current ZV6 rom.

Please add the build.prop edit to the original. Keep it as a base, since its deodexed, for themeing purposes and archive.

I was copying into /system/app and got the errors, but went ahead and zipped the keyboard (w/lib file) and flashed it. All good now.
I already had everything in play, hence the stripped down zip I used/made.
 
Ok, I think I've got this tweaked the way I want it.
Question though, how do I use the Sound Enhancements app? Is it an automatic thing?
In the alarm app, is there a way to add more ringtones?

Oh, and one issue...you have WiFi Tether Router in this.
That is not a free app and there is no free version of it.
Did you actually get permission to distribute it for free?
Not to be an ass, but it shouldn't be in this ROM if not...
