The real question here is....whats pebble??? Lmao. Yeah the g2 mini has the slider by default but oddly enough even though the brightness slider is in all of the xml...just like ours...it isn't active. I intend on adding it. You can use g2 tweaks to hide them or use them as need via toggle slider settings. I am examining g2 for differences to see why the sliders are inactive. I think its smali changes. I like the sliders. Better than the qslide. Qslide to me is actually fairly useless. I am looking to add in data in/out to status bar. two attempts have failed so far. as for easysettings. I will either try to add in the changes or remove it completely. Dont know yet. It is a redundant app really.

How did you get the quick set to look like that? I flashed the latest sys ui, settings and mini flash and it still looks like this

the gap remains even after a full edit of notifications panel and even a revert to plain stock. its an issue in g2 tweaks being made prinarily for x/xxdpi devices. thats why i have been experimenting with various layouts and themes. the flat ui style just does not work as it should for our device.

Well poop on that then. :p I'm guessing that's why there's no padding on the bottom of the quick settings either.
Anyway, the main reason I was trying to hide the title bar is because the clear button looked like crap. I changed up the color scheme though so it looks fine now. Just wish I could recolor the notifications, but good enough.

Went ahead and flashed the full update. What is different in this modified G2? Just the icon? Noticed the gap is still there. Here's my notification panel though... :)

Re: disabling
I went into Google Play Services through the MAT. I disabled all of the Wearable, Fitness, and selective other features i don't want/need. All of them have background services that run constantly.
I disabled NFC, I just dont use it.

Results After 24 Hours

I had my Volt 100% charged @ 12pm 10/18
It is now @ 21% 24 hours later






    • 4 hrs. of streaming 480p movies (Showbox)
    • 40 min. of Unpossible (game with high framerate)
    • 4 hrs. of searching/reading/responding on forums
    • Linking 3 GB of app/data
    • 2 hrs. GPS (high accuracy)/map use
    • 4 hrs. TuneIn radio
    • 2 hrs. setting ROM up (personalized)
    • 62 mins. of phone calls
    • Several photos and zip extract/compress
    • All using 50% or ^ screen brightness
At finish of writing/editing 17% @ 25 hrs.

Hey do you have a list of everything you disable on MAT and system apps you deleted from the system you don't need. I would like to do mines like that or @Curtis1973

Yeah unfortunately. Not much to mod in g2 tweaks. the icon set for the flat ui is in there but why edit those. the gap is an error in g2 tweaks where it isnt hiding the space where your orginal quick settings resides. its just plopping its icons over top of the old ones and thats about it.
