Root Zvc and zvd?

Quick question. I rooted my sisters esteem, installed the touch recovery and was wondering if its safe to install a rom that's specifically made for zvd when she has Zvc, I'm pretty much confused by it all.

what i would do honestly is upgrade to zvd. follow this http://www.metropcs.com/assets/user_guides/Update-Instructions-LG-Esteem.pdf to update. everything should be ok but i would look over the all things root guide and read up on it first. then i would use zvd roms.

Thanks. In the process of the update (had gbiggie point me in the right direction) the phone lost connection somehow and ended up in a hard brick. Tried to fix with the the DLL to no avail. So I just made a complaint to LG and have to send the phone in now. Thanks for the help though.
