Root ZVD PROBLEMS POST HERE/ FAIL while updating to ZVD

I updated and rooted and this is the second time its happened I was using a app and when screen timed out that was it it blacked out and I had to pull battery and put back in I didn't do no factory reset help plz
 
Do a factory reset and as PG said: It's not safe to install any Kernell on ZVD for the moment. Just leave it rooted and debloated.

I disagree with that, a lot of people are running the plague and homeless Kernals with no issue.

Including me, I am running GSE II, with no issues.

yea i down grading and up graded again and this time i factory reset so far no problems yea im about my thread about being a zvd tester lol
 
for all those dev making themes or roms im here when you are ready pm me when you have something that needs to be tested =)
 
something is not right its still happening rooted installed cwm made back up but when i rebooted i notice the metro intro had no sound and as i put my phone on sleep it blacked out and its rebooted itself

Have an appointment @ 1 est then will be back around to root mine and see if we can't brick(I mean test) some things;):cool:
 
lmao i down grading back to zvb damn i wish i had zvc again i got 16 hours out of stock battery with using phone every ten minutes

I never said you can't do it, what I said is what PG stated in another thread:
Running any kernel or rom not built from D may n prolly wont have any of the fixes from D afterwards.

That's why I preffer to wait. :D

I am using LD LG 1.4 as of now and plague extreme with no prob so far. Did also use LD LG 1.7 and ICK 1.7 seem to be working fine too. Did flash homeless kernel but phone seem to be restless, it is awake all the time
 
i flashed homeless it works real good but when it went to sleep or when i using a app screen would black out
 
So after upgrading to ZVD yesterday from B I finally got LDK working right with no bootloops. Rebooted a good 10 times within the past 14 hours with out a single one.

Well I just got into a boot loop. Don't know why now. BUT I put my theory I was using yesterday when i would get stuck to the test and it still works.

If I get stuck in a boot loop, like a good 4-5 tries, I can plug in my charger whether it's ac or usb and the phone will come out of boot loop and boot right up. What is causing it to do this?

So I also did a benchmark this morning of LDK, I was using GSE on ZVB before, and It was pathetic compared to my previous score of like 4759 I think. This one was 3200 ish. Does this have to do with the ROM or possibly the update? The phone doesn't seem any slower and I'm not sure exactly what caused the low score but I might just go ahead and put GSE2 on here and see how that works out. Any thoughts?

it's best to do a benchmark test without any apps install. andmake sure background data is off, and all animations set to All in setting/screen

Well I went into airplane mode, froze most apps and cut off background data etc.... The works basically. But the phone doesn't seem slow. It seems faster than before which makes me wonder. I do know that the 3D graphics were a lot slower this time. before I wanna say it was 70fps and now it was barely 50. So I know that was one problem but not sure of the rest.

Gonna try and put GSE2 over ZVD and see how that goes.
 
It seems they removed the bootsound in the ZVD update, I tried placing my custom bootsound named MetroPCS_PowerOn.mp3 and also tried naming it PowerOn.mp3 in /system/media/audio/poweron and in /system/sounds/power and didn't work.
