Well from what I heard metro removed the intro because it was to loud and ppl where complaining so that why you don't hear it when you flash zvd but I want zvc bak I got 17 hours out of stock battery

Since I updated to ZVD It fixed my power cycling issue, phones running smoother than ever and yeah more games can now run on it, got Blood and Glory, Contract killer, Plant vs zombies, and even GTA3 running on it:D

where did u download GTA3? i cant find it in the playstore

To those whom have updated their phone:

How's the update? Did it fix the dreaded cycling problem?

Should I update? I'm currently rooted, and my phone reboots on a few occasions.

the update is nice its more smoother than ZVC and ZVB and the connection is better on the 4g.... And yes the power cycling is no more it doesnt crash on most games it use to crash on... Yes you should update if u have the dum rebooting issue plus u can still root for ZVD

yes sir if ur having reboot problems I recommend u to update. Before thu update my wife's phone use to reboot about 5 times uh day now running good battery life is even better shes getting about 18 hrs with stock battery and not even rooted so DO IT lol

yeah upgrade! i never had a power cycling problem but it does run smoother and im rooted :D

Early results appear that it has corrected the rebooting problem. Very smooth and responsive even with all the bloat still on the phone.
+1 on an update for you:D

I have to say this zvd is the sh..... phone runs smooth battery Life is wayyy better and this is without any roms or kernels yet :D

"An update from lg includes 4 updates 1) system 2) recovery 3) radio & 4) boot (kernel). By updating to zvd and installing cwm and a zvb rom and kernel you are essentially only updating the radio. More than likely the reboot fix is in the kernel and until source is released for zvd we can't include them."

My question is, if all we are doing is updating the radio, what is really the point of doing this update? I guess if it was kept fully stock or maybe just root/recovery, I could see it, but was there a problem with the radio? The reason I ask is because mine works perfectly on ZVB and I have read a lot of people are having problems with this update.

Am I wrong here?

Yup, that's why i'm leaving it zvd stock at the moment. The improvements are worth the stock look to me. Patiently waiting for a ROM/kernel to test from one of our awesome devs.

im on ZVD stock with Candy theme and it runs sooooo smooth and more responsive than ZVB. and i never had any problems with ZVB and just took the leap. The people who are having problems are doing the update wrong. its pretty simple shit tho lol

I'm on tapatalk so I can't vote if there is a real poll but zvd rocks. I'm at 44 hours uptime with no reboots or even any noticeable lag. Zvb used to hang occasionally especially before or after calls. No sign of that issue now.

I'm rooted & quite happy with stock debloated. All my games and apps are running smooth now without overclocking or fiddling with kernels. LG finally got it right.

well basically that was for rebooting problems from my understanding there wasnt problems with thu radios just rebooting issues,Zvc was to be an update for people having reboot issues with zvb but failed so thats y they released zvd hoping that would fixed the problems,so far so good with the new update. And for those people having problems I dont know wats going on that :)

That didn't really answer my question, but it's cool.

I was asking why everybody is going to ZVD just to downgrade the kernal back to ZVB. That would pretty much defeat the purpose of fixing the power cycling, and I've probably read a hundred posts about something getting messed up with this update. From not being able to root at all, boot loops, problems with tethering, etc. I'm sure it will all be fixed, and some of it has already been fixed, but to do all of that just to downgrade seems strange.

I'm on ZVB, my phone is super smooth, never has power cycled once, and can last up to two days on a charge, so I will probably wait until there are some more updates out there. I'm sure in a day or two there will be kernals and ROMs specifically for this update.

Thanks for all you guys do.

I heard on the new update that it had fixed the reboot issue, and now games actually run such as ck zombies. Is this true? did it fix the games crashing? let me know

Just re-update to ZVD thanks to gbiggie's tutorial for downgrading and playfulagod's link since megaupload been shut down. Anyway regarding games crashing down, blood and glory never works on me w/out cf3d running. Now with ZVD update it runs smooth without any problem, battery life changed dramatically as well, without using any battery apps, by time of this post i still have 20% after 14 hours, medium use wifi is on all the time, BTW I'm not rooted so all the single bloat is probly running in the background so far im happy with my revived stock ZVD esteem

And yup I'm using stock battery
