Microprocessor/wifi

My wife's phone is having problems again. She has a Samsung A53 with Android 15.

The newest problem started happening a couple of months ago. There has been so much going on with our family that the phone has taken a backseat.

Up to about 2-3 months ago her phone has been working fine with the home wifi. I can use it fine and so can my son. When the home wifi became an issue she was still able to use wifi and local retail establishments but no longer can.

At first we thought we had to reset the phone so we did and nothing changed. Then we reset Network settings and rebooted router nope. With the wifi adapter turned on it shows no networks available even tho there are some available.

I did some research and found out that people that generally like Samsung don't anymore. Also apparently the processor that's in the A53 is junk and the problems were addressed and fixed for the A54. Apparently there is a glitch in the area of the processor that controls the wifi adapter and that Samsung has put out firmware or some kind of fix or pay h to address this issue.

I saw screens that were screenshoted that showed where you can check whether you want to switch from 2.4ghtz to 5 5ghtz for the wifi. I never was able to find that area on her phone.

Does anyone know anything about this. Am I explaining it right? Can someone point me in the right direction to help me with this to help her.

Multiple Contacts on Phone

Honestly I don't know where to go with this question
My primary place for storing Contacts is in Outlook for Exchange. I have my own domain and use it for work and personal email.
But when setting up a phone, of course using a Gmail account, there's no choice on that. But my gripe is that the phone has multiple copies of the same contact (different color circle icons though). I just counted six of the same contact in the stock phone "Contacts" app; others show up 2-3 times. I have tried not migrating certain accounts but I still get multiple entries on the phone. I'd love to eliminate these multiple contact entries on the phone. Actually I'd love to wipe ALL Gmail contacts and start over. But I'm afraid to delete something on the phone for fear it might start changing the contacts in Exchange/Outlook.

Anyone have this issue? And suggestions?

THANK YOU!

Emergency update prevention

Supposedly this Moto 5 G is going to update automatically in the early morning. I've already shut off automatic in dev ops, switched to cellular (none) before wifi, and am looking for other ways. When I looked at software update under settings I saw no options that it's supposed to have other than the abovementioned cellular first. Aren't there apps which can prevent this sort of thing? I have also disabled the sim.

Help Is it safe to use a device that no longer receives updates?

Q1. I might want to buy a used SM-P615 S6 lite tablet, my understanding is SM-P615 is released in 2020, and I think no more android and security updates, is it ok to use it?

Q2. After no more android and security updates, can the apps installed still continue to have app updates?

Q3. After no more android and security updates, am I safe to use the apps as long as the apps can be updated?

Q4. What does United Arab Emirates mean? see screenshot

Felon in Chief

felon for short. this will be my new name for our soon to be president.

why you guys voted for this douche bag is beyond me. he lies. he cheats. he has defrauded the state of New York. he defames people. he stole classified documents. he is an election denier. he incited an insurrection.

i cannot wait until our economy goes to shit. you can kiss your social security good bye. when there are no more immigrants to pick your produce, i do not want to hear complaining that your groceries are still expensive. you will get no sympathy from me.

and the felon's cabinet nominees are just a joke. i can't wait to laugh at you guys when you start having regrets.

now this thread is for friendly exchange of political views. please do not derail this thread by name calling. please to do not attack one another. this thread is for adults so lets try and be civilized. i will have mods close this thread if i feel it is getting out of hand.

if you do not like me calling the next president a felon.....tough. this is my thread. feel free to make your own thread if you like.

now let's discuss how the felon will run the United States of America. will he run it to the ground? or do you think we will prosper under the felon's leadership?

OnePlus 13 and 13R

Anyone interested?

I ordered the 13R and got $150 credit no questions asked for a 10-year-old LG phone in a drawer.

Supposedly has the brightest screen, plus a 6000 mAh battery.

Should arrive this week. OP says the 16th. UPS says 16th-20th. Who knows. In the days of the original Galaxy, I would be sitting near the front window every day. Now, not so much

Help Can the messages area expand to full screen?

Hello,

Can the message area of telegram and whatsapp occupy the whole zfold 6 (or other zfold number) screen? (so images in the message immediately appear in bigger size without pressing images to expand)

I do not have zfold 6, I am just doing research. I am researching what device that can see larger image message in telegram/whatsapp messages (among messages) without pressing the image to enlarge image to full screen.

example: remove the red box, then expand the yellow box to whole screen, will image message inside yellow box become bigger? (photos on the right is edited to show what I want to see)

I'm watching the debut match of Tiger and Rory's golf league. There is some crazy tech going on. I think it would be a lot more fun to play than to watch. It's a fun enough watch. I wouldn't miss a good game to watch it. It's better than watching Oak Island reruns.
