Upgraded A52 to A53, data transferred, but not names/passwords

Is the A52 an Android Go device? From what I've read about it on AF, Android Go is a cut-down lite version of Android for lower-performance phones. And so apparently doesn't have all the features and functiions of full Android. This is what I've read, and have never seen or used an Android Go device myself.
None of Samsung's A-series phones are Go devices. Not even the most crappy budget model they make. They're all OneUI running on top of full Android, even on devices with only 2GB of RAM. At best they cut some specific Samsung gimmicks out to make up for the lesser hardware/price, but hey, it's one way to get rid of Bixby--she don't exist on A-series. At this point in time, I don't think Samsung makes an Android Go device.

The only Go stuff are very garbage-tier phones like the AT&T "Calypso" or the Alcatel "Onetouch POP"

For the record, the A52/A53 are upper-mid-tier, aka, AMOLED displays, decent cameras, 90/120Hz refresh rates, and expandable storage and a headphone jack. They're one step or two below a flagship.

A-series designation is confusing to most, and is a mess of various redundant models but the basis for the model number is:

AXY where X is the tier (beginning at 0 for lowest, higher # for better) and Y is the generation. Aka, the Samsung A52 is the middle tier, second generation. The highest end A-series is in the A7x range.

Please help to root no name android tx box.

ok so this guy posted only once in 2013 and has not come back to this forum, so i highly doubt you will get an answer from him.

and you have the same android tv box from 2013? are you sure that it is the exact same box? why are you trying to root it?
Probably attempting to install a more modern Android and make use of it, perhaps to get Disney+, Paramount+, or some other app that didn't exist when Android 4.2.2 or its TV platform was current. Without root, the only useable app on one of these things is Netflix. Even YouTube won't work. Kinda a shame they got less support than a 2010 Apple TV where all the built-in apps still work more than 10 years later.

I got a couple of various Android TV boxes that ran 4.2.2, would love to make use of them (I just refuse to toss things that still work out) but one only works with Netflix (which I no longer subscribe to) and AccuWeather, another was a Kodi box but Kodi is entirely broken, but hey, WeatherNation still works (better than The Weather Channel IMO) but that ain't enough to put them back into regular service.

Attach the phone to the head is dangerous because of radiation?

The only legit harm you can get from enough EM exposure is slightly disrupted sleep or headaches. Not cancer. The whole 'phones cause brain cancer' was debunked long before AMPS (analog cellular) died, but they up and killed it anyway (take that as you will)

But this is nearing the whole conspiracy fearmongering that made people assume 5G causes birds to drop out of the sky and deer to turn carnivorous.

How many cell phones have you had over the years, including the first one?

Quite a few - I'm sure I've forgotten some.
Ericsson C31
Some Sony and Motorola feature phones(I forget which ones)
Samsung E350
Sagem MYX901
LG GM360
AN LG Slider
HTC Wilfire S (X2) both rooted running CyanogenMod 11
Sony Xperia U
HTC One M9
HTC 10EVO (bolt)
Cubot Nova
DooGee Mix
Ulefone Note 11P
Huawei ALE-21
And probably some other I've forgotten

Icon identification Please

Hello, can someone tell me what app this is? 3 vertical semi circles.

so we get this question every day. the problem is that there are millions of apps each with their own notification icon. so unless the icon is from a popular app like facebook or youtube, you will most likely get guesses from us.

why not just ask the person who the device belongs to? as most cases usually this questions comes from a concerned partner. the easiest way is to just pull down the notification bar and see what it is.

to me it looks like a bomb. maybe a game of some sort? i doubt it is a dating app.

Pixel 7 Pro - connect to TV

Does your TV support chromecast? Many tv's don't, unless you have Android/Google TV native, or a streaming device that supports chromecast.

This is the only way to do it with a pixel. iPhone uses airplay and other android phones use miracast, etc.
i think you just mean casting. chromecast is a google product that you insert to one of the hdmi ports on your tv. its like a amazon firestick. casting is when you cast something from your phone to the tv wirelessly......and yes your tv needs to support this.

I have 64Bit hardware, but 32Bit Android 13-How can I fix this problem? (A13 Samsung)

My guess is that Google's compatibility filter relies on metadata such as the sdk level and what the developer themselves declares as system requirements. So if the developer fills in the wrong information, or stops updating, the app gets flagged as incompatible and hence doesn't show up when searching using the Play Store app. I seriously doubt that Google actually test compatibility with every device, more likely just check whether the supplied compatibility data match the device in question.

I'm not a huge fan of Google, but I do think that developers have some responsibility here.

Xiaomi screen icon

It's nothing like the standard "location service" icon that appears when an app is checking location, but a sphere with poles (magnet) and an orbit (satellite) could be something like that. Manufacturers can use their own icons, and I've never owned a Xiaomi.

Does it appear on the right or left side of the screen? The right is system icons on most phones, left is other apps.

What is ‘forest’

Since the days of TouchWiz, Samsung has always had a sort of nature aesthetic to their phones, and still clings to this with their famous Over the Horizon ringtone. It's one of those little nuances that sold Samsung phones to me over the years since nature and skeuomorphism were my two favorites. Forest is probably just another remnant of the TouchWiz Nature UX era, like Over the Horizon. It means nothing so don't worry about it.

Many apps have weird names as part of their APK entry, which displays similary in apps manager. If you want to see weird, Facebook's full name has 'Katana' in it, even though the app has nothing to do with swords.

The only time I worry about an app is when the entry has some instance of 'cheetah' in it. Such as 'com.cheetah.batterydoctor.apk' Cheetah Mobile is infamous for being malware and gathering data they have no right to access.
