Considering the data useage of the app, and the camera capabilities of the device- along with the questions and the country of origin-

I would like to suggest a coupke of apps that may help secure it a bit.

The first one puts a device administer block on the camera.
No apps can access the camera without you allowing the camera to function- easily accessible via a quick settings tile.

The second one is a microphone blocker.
It does not have the device administrator feature, but still seems pretty effective.

A bit off topic but here is what I can do with Icon Studios:

Providers is an app to track balances of programs like food stamps, etc.

From what I can see it looks like you took a picture, made a call and went shopping. Nothing nefarious at all.

for me it is not a big issue. i can just easily move from recent, keypad, and contacts with no issue.

I sent that email back to my gmail on the note 8, and if I click show quoted text, it DOES play the animated gif.
But clicking on the attachment in either phone, does not play the animated gif.

So since Contacam program is sending the animated gif as an attachment only, like not inline with the body of text, it wont play inline then n either the Note 8 or Note 9.
On the Note 9, it just shows up, dont have an option to click show quoted text.

Mechanical buttons need mechanical repair.

Yes, it probably is a little unusual. The browser is called Lightning, lightweight and at least fairly private. At least some of the files are downloaded, and the phone is a Samsung Galaxy A02s. I probably should have thought of checking settings. I guess I'll do that.

Chrome for Android has a minimal layout as opposed to Chrome for windows, that's how it's been since the beginning.
The smaller screen has less real estate so hence no bookmarks across the top.
They are placed within the upper right, 3 dot area ...

Not of the bio print off at all. It sometimes feedsback with text messages, and every pop up I do get just vibrates. I did turn off the really stinker of messenger plus, and going to work on with textra to see if that will fix it up or not,sorry for the space, I even put it into saftey mode, and it did not solve that problem, using ADW as well too,there is no settings to turn it off either..

this was written in 2020 and i can't find anything about why 5G is spotty in San Diego. if you look at their coverage map most of San Diego should be in Nationwide coverage with very spotty 5G UW coverage.

If your wife really, really cannot recall her password this creates a big problem. Lock screens are by intent not easily bypassed and all those utilities that claim to be able to magically 'hack' into secured phones are for the most part fallacy. Despite the countless 'authentic and verified' reviews that back up their snake-oil claims just think about it. Here in the real world, if it was so trivially easy to bypass a smartphone's lock screen why don't law enforcement and other government agencies just buy one of those miracle apps instead of wasting thousands of dollars and time trying gain access to all the phones they seize?
And professional data recovery services are not just a typical consumer level service. Most of us don't have the disposable cash required to pay the final bill. It might be cheaper to have your wife see a trained psychoanalyst to see if they can coax that lost password out from her subconscious.

Sammy annoyed me when I looked to trade in my OnePlus 8T, and they don't take One+ trades! Best I think I could get is $400 with T-mobile. Could get twice that if I were on their Magenta Max plan but it's horribly obvious that they would screw you over time with that plan. I like my grandfathered plan which is even cheaper than their 55+ plan.

Sitting tight I guess until demand is satisfied and they add more incentives.

When you put a rule on incoming mail and move it into a folder, you get NO notifications in Android outlook app, or any other email app EXCEPT for gmail which uses labels. You can setup the particular label to send a notify event on the phone!
So to resolve this problem and still use Outlook android app, I created a new outlook.com email account just for ContaCam to send motion detection videos to. You have to go thru the 2 step authentication process to create an app password, and add the new email account into Microsoft authenticator on the android phone.

And Outlook app keeps every account separate, so you must go into the app settings and set notifications to what you want for each account. I want sound, popup and vibrate, so I turned on everything in their I could find for this.

I would have liked to use gmail, but it can not play animated gifs on my phone. Outlook gives you the choice of a default player, what works is gallery or photos. Gmail you have no choice of a player except what the programmers give you, your stuck, so it would not work for me.

ok i have not figured out how to do screen looping so i gave up on that one. but i have 2 more questions maybe some can help me with?

when i plug the phone into the pc i get a message on the phone asking for permission to allow access to the data. and i have to tap allow every time. where can i go to change that?

also i have hundreds of photos on the phone but when i have it plugged into the pc i can only see maybe 50 of them. at one time, before i installed the sd card i could see all of them then i tried moving the photos to the sd card but that did not seem to work with the sd card i had so i got a better sd card and moved a few apps and not the photos and now i see only a handful of them. i checked the sd card that was in the phone at the time and there are no photos on that card when i ut it in the pc to check for photos. but they are on the phone's internal memory. so how do i get to see them when i have the phone plugged into the pc?

and now every time i remove the phone from the pc i get an error message the device has stopped or been removed. how do i get rid of that message on the pc? i know it has been removed. so is that a pc issue or the phone needs a setting changed? thanks
