Help Cannot find Android/data/com.android.providers.media folder.

I'm using LG V50 ThinQ, which runs Android 11. I thought my album thumbnails are corrupted, so I want to delete albumthumbs folder. But I could not found Android/data/com.android.providers.media folder on the app X-plore. Should I connect via computer to find and delete com.android.providers.media folder?

Voice to Text wo google?

Milo. Thanks. It took me a couple days of trying things and waiting for answers to tech questions to companies but none replaces the Voice to Text engine in android. Even Dragon dictates into its own notepad and then you would copy and paste that into your texting program. SpeechTexter does similar but also says that it uses the google engine for what it does. Well what good is that? That's probably why all these apps say they need network connection permission to operate.

Even if I could get the google engine to only work in offline mode only and not interact with google servers that would be acceptable but I don't see how to do that. Not that I'm doing anything secret just that I think it's a good idea to get google out of the loop in as many ways as possible, while, yes, still being on an android, even google, phone. Is there no way to do that?
Depending on how good of a speaker and clear your voice is, mine jumbles when speaking even to my google assisstance :)

Re: 3GPP

For the FE-ICIC and/or CRS-IC features, what does the channel estimation algorithm look like? Is the interference cancellation only on the interfering cell(s) only or are there multiple iterations that include both the serving and interfering cells? How many iterations/what is the stopping criteria? How is it different between colliding CRS and non-colliding CRS?

For the NAICS or other non IRC based techniques that suppress intercell interference, what is the receiver that is used? Is it iterative interference cancellation or a reduced complexity maximum likelihood (R-ML) detector? If iterative interference cancellation, is the decoder within the iteration? Are there any techniques in the iterations which are suboptimal but are meant to reduce complexity? If R-ML, which particular R-ML technique is used? Please provide details if you can about the specifics of the reduced complexity technique.

Same question as above but for the SU-MIMO and MU-MIMO receiver.

Thank you VERY much!

"loved" texts repeating

Loved I doubt there's much you can do apart from ask the iPhone owners to stop, or switch the group to a cross-platform system like WhatsApp which would work the same for everyone. To your phone these are presumably just ordinary messages, and treated as such.

The problem is that iPhone owners will be communicating via iMessage, which is an IP-based message system, so for them it will be sending a custom flag to make an icon appear. But to non-iOS devices it sends regular sms, and it seems that Apple have chosen to send copies of messages for likes rather than just not send this stuff to non-iOS users. In other words it's a poor implementation by Apple. I doubt they have provided an option not to send these to non-iOS users, but you'd need to look through iMessage settings to see.

Of course people could complain to Apple, but since it took several years and a class action to get them to provide a solution to their iMessage deregistration bug (which put people off switching) it's unlikely they will do anything to make it less annoying for non-iOS users - they may even think that some of their customers will believe this is a problem with other platforms rather than a bad design by Apple and so it will help lock them in.

Wrong whatsapp photo date/time on import windows 10

Hello everyone, there is a picture that was taken in another country and sent through whatsapp by another person. In the picture it is night time. When it was sent through whatsapp and received onto the note 8, the date and time is November 5, 2019 3:24 PM with filename IMG-20191105-WA0018 as seen in the screenshot. When I am importing that same picture onto my C drive using windows 10's classic right-click on note 8 and selecting "import picture and videos" in windows explorer, I get a date and time of Nov 4, 2019 3:19:11 PM. I have imported many other pictures this way and almost all of them retain their date and time fields exactly as shown on the phone. It seems like 3-4 pics from this date range aren't importing with the correct date & time.

Can someone help with solutions to this ? Thanks

Motorola Moto E (2020) switch to 64 bit O/S

If it's a DJI product, probably can't use it without the correct specific app from DJI. Last year I borrowed a DJI Osmo gimbal, and that could NOT be used without the specific supporting DJI app been installed and running.

That's the problem with some of these tech products, their proprietary supporting apps may go away for whatever reasons, and the drone, gimbal, smart-watch, etc, becomes completely useless, and is only good for recycling.

Yup.
Better off sticking to things that use a dedicated or universal contoller, or at minimum one that could be controlled by a universal app.

Unlocked from Samsung vs from Verizon (or from carrier)

The differences between a carrier unlocked and manufacturer unlocked device are:

A device bought from a carrier is generally had at a discount, and then unlocking is free or cheap enough after about a year of use.
This device will have carrier bloatware on it, and possibly other differences .
It will most likely only be able to use the same cellular system as the original carrier used, ie. if it is a Verizon device, it may not work on AT&T systems.
This is because it is likely to only have one set of cellular receiver, because it was only made to work gor that carrier.

A manufacturer unlocked device?

Manufacturer unlocked devices have no carrier bloatware, and will work with multiple different carrier systems.
Mine can work on almost any American cellular system.
That is because it has multiple cellular receivers.

This drastically increases the cost of the device.

Another difference that I have seen for myself?

My ol'lady has a carrier locked version, and I have the manufacturer unlocked version of the same device, the Moto e (2020).

Hers has a replaceable battery, while mine does not.

Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ only support variable refresh rates of 48Hz-120Hz, not 10-120Hz

so from 10 to 48......what's the difference? isn't higher better?
Less battery friendly usage it would seem.

A statement from Samsung states...

"While the display component of both devices support between 48 to 120Hz, Samsung’s proprietary technology offers adjustable display refresh rates, where data transfer rates from AP to display can be minimized to as low as 10Hz in order to save power consumption.

The display refresh rate was originally listed between 10 and 120Hz (10 to 120 frames per second), and we later opted to update how we communicate this specification in order to be in line with the more widely-recognized industry standard.
"

The S22 Ultra sports a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate with its Dynamic AMOLED 2X LTPO panel.

Best WiFi - widget to connect to strongest WiFi signal

Sorry for late reply, I didn't get a notification that you had posted and I only just noticed your post. The scan is done in a background service and some newer versions of Android (and also some manufacturers) are more aggressive about killing off background services. It might be worth checking the app is not "optimised" (which restricts background usage), for my Pixel this is under Apps, BestWiFi, Battery Usage but it might be in a different place on your phone.

If that doesn't work, if you want to send me the app log file I will take a look and see if I can see anything. My contact details are at http://www.apdroid.byethost5.com/bestwifi/bestwifi.html#feedback
