im looking for a app that looks and feels like opening and using different windows on a pc

hey guys, so im doing reaction videos on my android 11 phone, and i have the ability to activate free floating windows, but the issue is that once they are closed out, the size and position will doesn't stay set.
what id love to save have is a app that can easily switch between windows and save the size and position, so even if the phone is reset the apps can be opend and immediately go where i want them to go.

I've tried several apps but haven't gotten anywhere, I've tried probably the most popular app but i don't think it can float any app that i have installed, it looks like it just has basic apps, but i want to float any installed app on my phone.

even if I need to pay for a qpp that's fine, as long is it Will do what i need it to

Erratic altitude profile on GPS tracking

So you climbed go an altitude of about 560 metres? But you'll never get altitude to the exact metre with using just a phone. That's why your recordings are jumping up and down a bit.
Yes I climbed from 80m up to 560m, as the upward track shows. It's the downward track that has the errors I am asking about. I am not bothered about variations of a few metres, but the incorrect altitude points on the downward track are hundreds of metres out, whereas on the way up they are far more accurate. The only difference is the flight mode being turned off. So it's more than just the expected error of using a phone.

button press when phone is locked

Set a pin code to unlock the phone.
This will prevent the device from responding to screen touches.

However, by law any device- locked or not locked- must be able to make emergency calls.
If the screen is awakened and the emergency call button is touched, it will call emergency services.

The best thing is a protective case that covers the screen and all buttons- preferably the entire device.

Also, this app may help you, as it will turn the screen off whenever the proximity sensor is covered.

Using GIT to get remote code

I do not know from the online tutorial if I am properly establishing a connection with a git repository that is on a network.

All I have learned from a tutorial is how to set up a local repository, but getting data off of a network repository is knowledge I have yet to stumble upon or learn about and I wanted to save time by asking some online help forums.

I have just started using git after not using it for a while.
I have created a repository.
Then, as I was instructed, I made a “git clone” command which consisted of “git clone” followed by a path.
I expected this to get the contents of the path and put it into my repository – meaning the directory I made. This did not happen. What do I do?
How do I get a local copy of a remote work space for me to work on?

I am wondering if there is something like a "fetch" command I should be using.

The video tutorial I was looking at instructed how to make a local repository. But if I am trying to get code from a network location, how do I go about making that happen?

I was instructed at my job to run this command (copied here in pseudo code)

git clone blah-blah:/blah/git/noogie/dork_monkey/

and when I did this grom git-bash it did not produce any errors which led me to think it was the command I needed to do.

But I did this from the local directory that I used

git init

to set up as a local repository.

I assumed that typiing a "git clone..." command would have copied all of the files on the blah-blah server over.

But it did not.

I wonder if all this might have something to do with the fact that I need to get my network up and running first.

In my File File Explorer window, when I click on the "This PC" icon on the left, I can see I have five Network locationis mapped to drive letters.

But when I click on the Network icon I get an error.

Which One?

Have been using almost four years the LG K20 Plus. No issues with but I am to understand LG is not making smartphones anymore. I also have saved my ZMAX Pro (Z981). Question is which h do you thing is the better phone? I know it has better resolution but is there anything else I am missing? Metro is my provider.

General Android Question

I edited your post to fix the quote formatting. :thumbsupdroid:

What I find under the SIM settings are a voice LTE setting and a separate data LTE setting.
Guessing the Voice LTE is it. Honestly don't know why this feature seems to have 4 different names.

PagePlus has a tool on their website where you check VOLTE compatibility and my Samsung J3 is OK. I haven't found a similar tool on the Verizon website
This is the page to check if a phone is compatible with Verizon, but since yours is already activated I don't know if it will say "Compatible" or "already in use" instead:
https://www.verizon.com/bring-your-own-device/

How important is an Android upgrade for us?
Back to your original question, if your phone does have VoLTE I agree with what @Unforgiven has crossed off in his first post above. If you only use apps from the Play Store and don't visit dodgy websites the phone should be fine for a few more years. Of course if you can get a good deal on a new one that's always an option. :)
