Help Help making an image of the "hard drive" of a phone

Why did you cd to the phone's mount point before issuing the adb command? If the command was successful the phone would reboot into recovery mode and that directory would not be available. I doubt that would be the cause of this problem, but to be sure try again without the cd.

I'd start at the beginning though: the first adb command should be "adb devices". That will tell you whether you have a connection at all. If not then fix that first: check the cable, that USB debugging is enabled on the phone, that the computer is authorised for adb by the phone (probably not relevant if you are running android 4), etc.

But recovery mode won't get you fastboot: you want adb reboot fastboot for that.

(Consider yourself lucky you have a palaeolithic version of Android here: with a newer device the storage would be encrypted and so you would have no hope with this method).

Is there a device for hdmi & charge?

i dont think an Android smartphone like this exists or a cable that can do this. if you want to access multimedia on your tv use a chromecast or a ps4 on sale. I personally use my ps4 for all my Netflix viewing and youtube surfing

AFAICT there's certainly no universal one-for-all cable or adapter that exists, but a couple of manufacturers make adapters for their own devices, e.g. Samsung DeX and Huawei MateDock. And I have used both.

Help Is my phone behaving similar to proximity cards?

well i think most folks here would not know the science behind how NFC works. i have no idea how it works.

i did find this:https://squareup.com/us/en/townsquare/nfc

in the article nfc uses encryption to communicate, so those numbers you see are part of the encryption and who knows what they represent.

Hello, never mind. I have asked in other Samsung forum also. I know how NFC actually works. The question is really why the phone is generating those numbers without my permission.

If I finally develop an application to send person's DNI, phone will also send those random number, which of course will affect my application.

P6P and S21 Ultra????

Pixel 6 Pro is better than the S21 Ultra as the P6P has an LTPO display which is new and great compared to Dynamic display if S21 Ultra which is old. The P6P and S21 Ultra specs are almost 98% the same but S21 has Snapdragon 888 which is a little higher than the new Google tensor chip but with new updates, P6P will be better! Also, P6P has the new unique design that is attractive than the S21 Ultra.

Chromecast on hotel wifi.

If your hotel TV is a smart TV I'd just use the integrated TV apps, setting up your own Chromecast onto a public WiFi network is a security and a privacy nightmare. You'll be intentionally adding your Chromecast to open access on an unsecured network. Think back to when you needed to first set up your Chromecast, it has its own unsecured mini-web server that you temporarily access to then pair up the device to your home network. It's the pairing up/connection process that's going to be a problem. Then it's a matter of having your Chromecast connected to an unsecured public WiFi network, a much different environment than your presumably secured home network.

If you travel a lot, it might be worth investing in a portable router/hotspot device. Then instead of relying upon risky public WiFi services you'll always have your own personal, mobile WiFi network. You can setup your portable WiFi network at home and configure whatever mobile devices you'll be bringing with you so everything is already set up to use.

Help US S10+ sold in UK network issues

I have 2 very good spec Xiaomi phones from late 2019 running on EE (I swap sim).

They've had some tremendous weekly discounts on their website Mi. com all year, though I think that may be coming to an end as they are so popular here.

Nothing negative to report on the software or hardware front. Ads can removed, as well as unwanted 3rd party apps, and I just don't register their own apps, though there's nothing wrong with them.

Xiaomi brand models were : Redmi & Redmi Note Series, Poco and top line Mi models.
Latest Mi models rebranded as Xiaomi (11t / 11t pro) and anything named Xiaomi are guaranteed long term updates similar to Samsung.

Poco have been made a separate brand, of sorts.

I have a Poco F2 Pro (256/8) and a Mi 10 Lite 5g.

Worth looking in to.

could a bad power strip cause problem to the mobile device?

Simply because that power strip looks OK physically on the outside, that has absolutely nothing to do with if it is or is not damaged in some way inside. The odds are just falling off a table a few times isn't going to do much, there are no moving parts or delicate components inside. It's not a big deal for a more tech savvy person to confirm if that power strip is fine or not, but since you appear to have doubts about it, instead of aggravating yourself so much just buy a new one and replace it. Life is too short to fixate on such minor details.

I'm not fixating on such minor things, I'm just lacking in technical knowledge and yes life is short but you don't just do one thing and wait for it to settle and then move on.

Help How to copy files to sd card when phone does not boot?

Your problem is very simple.
You are cramming too much crap onto your device.

Your solution is to get a device that can harbor the amount of data that you are trying to cram into this one, or to stop doing what you are doing and monitor this device.

Any device is going to act stupid when you get down to only 100MB, and frankly I am quite surprised to see that the thing allowed you to fill it up that much.
Most devices start acting wonky when memory gets below 1GB.
The idea that it has shown 0MB available is amazing to me- the fact that the device could even muster up the effort to tell you such a thing!

This device is simply crying out to you for some relief!

Now, yes, most cleaning apps are garbage.
Yours is built in, so if there are no ads associated with it then it is probably ok.

There is really only one cleaning app that does exactly what it says and does what it can (cleaning apps have been very restricted in newer models of devices).

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/theredspy15.ltecleanerfoss/

If this app does not help, then keeping AT LEAST the same amount of open memory as the device has RAM is the best bet for proper function of the device.
(Example, my device has 2GB of RAM, so I always leave at least 2GB of empty memory.)

There are reasons for this, and if you like I would explain.

Also, please do not think that I am making fun of a memory strapped device, as this is all that I have ever had.
That is why I had to figure out ways around it.

Root LG Realm (LS620) Flashable Stock ROM ZV4

Ugh... I finally found a TOT after searching for hours on end. Pretty much every website, link, whatever for this phone is broken, gone, adware, malware. Anyway, this was all for naught.

After many, many more hours of searching I can't find any Qualcomm utility that works. QFIL, EFS, QPST, USB1, USB2, USB3, I tried everything. BoardDiag is by far the easiest to use (either v3.99 or the "2014" version both of which support the LS620). However, after it loads the diagnostic firmware to the phone nothing happens, the phone doesn't respond. In fact from that point the phone doesn't respond to anything at all and I have to pull the power for it go back in to 9008 mode.

I tried qdl in Linux as well. I don't know if it's potentially something with the emmc firehose or the raw/patch XML setup. The firehose seems correct because it does seem to read some data off the phone. However right after that it gets USB protocol errors and timeout. Then the write fails with timeout. Seems broken. Potentially this Qualcomm interface NEVER worked right on these phones. Either that or I have bad programmer/config files. I have no idea.

The phone WAS working enough to run the EDL, TWRP, and flash firmware so I believe the AP and PMIC are working fine so I'm not sure why it doesn't respond now.

Edit and update:

Well it turns out that my eMMC was totally broken and it's not the fault of this firmware, just a coincidence.

The eMMC couldn't boot at all so I figured out how to boot to download mode via SD card. From there used lglaf to attempt to write various partitions but since the eMMC is failed that didn't work out. This caused the phone to switch to booting to fastboot off the SD card for some reason. I can do more stuff from fastboot though like boot kernel images. So I modified the stock boot and recovery images to use the SD card partitions instead of the internal memory. Now I can boot the whole phone off the SD card. Only problem is that it still only boots to fastboot mode so I have to manually fastboot the boot image to start the phone every time.

I did finally flash this firmware to the SD card and it seems to work fine.

Can't stop the alarm of Moto e5 Play

My Moto E6 Plus European model (XT 2023 - 2) has an animated slider control when the alarm sounds in sleep mode.
I'm aware the US have different model E6's and presumably E5's, with different stock features.
Do you have a different Launcher installed?
If not, perhaps if you can capture a photo of the lock screen? Also you should be able to download the latest manual for your particular model (is it an E5 Play / XT - xxxx?). Otherwise perhaps you do have a software issue that you can report to Motorola.
