Thanks. Installing the Outlook app was th solution for me. I simply replaced Gmail and synched my POP business account in the Outlook app and it's a great solution.

All providers that own towers prioritize their own customers over the customers that use providers that are renting those towers.

If you have friends with different providers, bring them (and their phones) to where you will be using your device the most, and compare signal strength.

Or, use Wi-Fi calling if you have strong Wi-Fi service.

kindle has a pretty good read back feature. but i'm not sure if you can get text books on the kindle. what formats are these ebooks that you read?

First, it is free to get started.
Because you are looking to do business, your useage is different than mine, so a business number and more minutes (credits) are sure to cost more than free.

It can use Wi-Fi as a connection, so your call quality is dependent on the quality of your Wi-Fi.
(It can also use your network connection, but this will use data.)

You can have five devices all using the same number.
A tablet or a PC can be used as a phone.

This is a VoIP service, so it is independent of your carrier- you can have a Dingtone number and your cell number active on the same device at the same time.

This number works just like a normal mobile number- it can make and receive calls and texts to/from any other number.

Your calls can be forwarded to another number.

Credits are pretty cheap to purchase.
The more 'points' you earn over time, the better the deals get.

I don't know what was the problem but after a second format now I can install the Google applications.

I noted your feelings towards FAT file system, yes FAT16 and DOS is where it started for me and the first versions of windows needed DOS installed first, and people used Wordperfect and not Word, Quattro pro and not Excel!!!

NewPipe has no ads, and is open source.
It also has no Google junk with it.

I seriously doubt that Google would provide an app that allows free downloads of videos from Youtube, as they own Youtube- and it is a violation of the terms of service.

Games use a lot of power.

Your browser can as well, depending upon what browser you use and what sites you visit.

No kidding, some sites have made my phone rather hot to the touch.

Yet another reason to use an ad blocker and/or block tracking.

I don't know of a way of just bringing the keyboard up regardless, but it might not help even if you could. If the problem is that the app is failing to request input, and hence the keyboard is not appearing because no request for one has been made, then just opening the keyboard won't necessarily help.
