SD cart in android 6.0.1

20 GB? I have never heard of a card with that amount of storage. What brand is the card; and have you checked it to make sure it is a legitimate card? As far as your phone's use of it: all you have to do is power off the phone and get the card in the microSD slot (which, I believe, is a single slot shared with the SIM card). Boot the phone back up and any file explorer (I use Solid Explorer) will be able to access files in both internal and external memory (the card). Set the camera to save photos to the card

Weird time name after update

Yes it's android 10 with one ui 2.5. The screenshot is from my notification panel. I checked my device csc and it from united Arabic Emirates.

FYI "Rabi al-Thani" is a month in the Islamic calendar.

Check what region you got the phone set to in the Device Settings, also check the Calendar Settings as well. Are you currently in the UAE?

How to turn off sound

your response seems to suggest its specific to podbean, not the phone. the phone did its job in closing the app and removing from the background.
try a different podcast app to test if the same issue applies or ask the dev of the podbean for more info on how it works or read its instructions.
Thanks marctronixx,
Kerry

ikerry? are you an old ifruit user and have moved over to android?

if so, take a look at the user guide to get comfy with the settings.

good info from ocnbrze as well.
Thanks marctronixx and ocnbrze. I'm reluctant to download and open a PDF from someone I don't know. I'm going to try another podcast app.

TunTap interface

I need to port an application that uses a linux TunTap interface. It receives and presents packets like a network interface and uses the TunTap interface to do it. Usually one would need to root a device (and maybe load a custom rom). I was wondering if there is another way to get the same feature?

Thanks,
Y-

Best android value?

This is not the thread for it now as the OP is looking for a contract phone somewhere on this planet but I stole two Xiaomi Amoled phones over the last six weeks in amazing one day / one model manufacturer sales. An Amoled Mi 10 Lite 5G with an SD765G for a ridiculous £194 UK, and then a Poco F2 Pro with an SD865 8/256 UFS 3.1 for an insane £299.

I agree with @tron there's a whole lot of great deals out there on Xiaomi / Redmi / Mi / Poco, Realme, Oppo, OnePlus 8T etc. Even Motorola are getting better.

I'm waiting for a new 5G sim to arrive with 160gb for £20 / m (over 24 months but sod it) on a much faster 4G carrier (EE) than I was on.

I currently have 4 great phones {3 new) but the medication should kick in soon :p

BTW : the Xiaomi software with MIUI 12 is very polished and impressive for the international market with no Chinglish, great extra features, virtually zero bloatware and no ads (don't initiate some copycat apps and turn off some settings); plus they are due Android 11 with the November patch. Now a Samsung rival imv.

T-Mobile (USA) rolling out Android 11 stable update

T-Mobile (USA) have released the stable version of Android 11 today for the SM-G98*U Galaxy S20 device, (not Galaxy S20 FE).

Build = G98*USQU1CTKH

Build date = 22nd November 2020

Android Security = November 2020 (Strange, since even Betas had December)

This is a FOTA, (Firmware Over The Air), update but you can manually check for it by going to... Settings > System update > Download updates manually
