Which is unique to the phone, the serial number or the IMEI number?

The serial number is unique.. IMEI can be changed even by a basic college student... There was a time i used to change my phone IMEI so i can enjoy free data that are specific to other phones with a unique IMEI..

So it's possible they might have changed the IMEI

I just bought new open box from Ebay and also the same issue.. same IMEI but different Serial#. Sorry I'm not clear about this explanation, should I be worry since they might be able to use my data plan after I install my simcard inside?

Help Internet using USB Tethering from Mobile to Mobile

Phone 2 or any phone cannot take data / internet through the USB port.

The Redmi 6 and many phones have a USB on the Go facility to read or move files on a connected usb drive, or use an older MHL adapter to connect to a TV. Otherwise apart from exchanging files / photos with a pc, the usb port is for charging the battery.

The SoC / chipset on the motherboard has radio bands and antennae set to receive mobile data; or wifi through a receiver. (someone with better knowledge can explain the hardware!)

A PC is different.

* OK - and tethering it's data out o_O

Help Will updating my Huawei Y7 2019 with the attached photo file wipe all my Google 3 apps off?

AFAIK existing Huawei phones that already have Google Play and other Google apps, updates will not wipe them out.

In fact I've got a Mate 10, bought in China almost 3 years ago, that didn't originally have Google apps, but I installed ithem myself. This phone has had many updates, including updates from Android 8, to Android 9, and now it's on Android 10, and Google apps are all still there and working(Play Store, Gmail, Google Maps, Google Translate, and YouTube)

Adaptive Brightness turns off

There is an app I have been using for many years called twilight that you can set your light the way you want, also it gives you a better focus and blocks the blue light away, it is amazing feature that it blocks off the blue and gives you a much sharper look and it does auto tune your brightness, as well as even gives you a better option by switching off and on the default settings too. It never shuts itself off either, you are allowed to.

Thank you. I will try that.
