Gave it a try: okay but needs work

Do you intentionally put the controls near the ad in hopes of more clicks?
- Placing ad banners, as well as controls at the bottom of the screen, is a standard practice used in the vast majority of such (and not only) apps. Users will pay attention to such a banner much more than placing them at the top of the screen, for example. At the same time, I try to prevent accidental clicks - controls and the banner are separated by a non-clickable information line (TIMER ... MIXER ... TIME ...). In this matter, I follow Google’s recommendations, although in many popular apps, even those marked with the "Editor’s Choice" sign, you can see the banner placed immediately next to the controls.
https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6275345?hl=en
"Close proximity of banner ads to other elements within an app is one of the biggest causes of accidental clicks. To avoid accidental clicks, banner ads should not be placed immediately next to interactive elements and app content [...] This banner ad placement can put your app or your account at risk if too many accidental clicks occur, and we recommend against such an implementation."

Nice work overall!
- Thanks!

Help Is Someone In My Biz

My Motorola g6 has been hacked and they can control it and I can't figure out how to fix this and who hacked my phone

Make sure it's only you that has access to your Google account. Change your password, and enable two factor login. Far more likely it's your Google account that's been compromised, rather than someone hacking the phone itself. Unless someone else has unsupervised physical access to your phone?

Need Information

how did you update the phone? were you getting 3g/4g before? have you talked to your carrier about it?

I got it on the Phone through system updates option prior to that I was getting 4G option. Actually a friend on mine works for Vodafone and he himself came down at my place to check the device and everything was fine. Also, on my other devices it gives me 4G with the same SIM

Rooting an OPPO R7plusf, Android 5.1.1

always do your research at xda, if you ever want to root your phone.

i did it for you:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/r7-plus/general/guide-root-oppo-r7-r7-plus-one-click-t3212055

please read the guide thoroughly before attempting to root. i would also recommend that you read all the posts in the thread. sometimes they have some tips that's not in the guide.

i would also recommend that you ask any questions here as xda can be full of drama queens.

keep us posted and good luck;)

Disturbing Notification I received (SNAPCHAT)

Ok, so in your opinion what would you do in this situation, just ignore it or should this be considered hacked device? Should I be worried?
Use that Samsung monitoring app to learn which apps are using whatever permissions so you can make educated decisions on what to disable or leave enabled. You can do the same thing by just going through your Settings >> Apps menu, one app at a time, or let that Samsung utility do it. Don't assume everything on your phone is some kind of potential threat, take the time to delve into your Settings menu and set up your phone improve your quality of life, not something that you're apprehensive to use every time you pick it up.

(... these are valid tips but you do need to be flexible to find the equivalents on your phone, especially taking into consideration how much Samsung opts to alter the Settings menu in its devices.)

Personal dictionary?

Hello-- I'm wondering if there is a personal dictionary on the S20. When I voice type my dog's name, Koa, it always changes it to either koala or co-op. Any suggestions on fixing this? And yes, I am speaking clearly!!

Thanks!

So, I'm a HUGE supporter of SwiftKey still, which absolutely supports this. And I think Google keyboard does as well. I literally didn't leave stock keyboard as default for longer than the time it took apps to download. The setting you want would be part fo the keyboard you use though, which are you using?

300+ Android Games for Quarantining with Family

I can personally recommend any and all of the Secret Order games. They have lots of extras added in. My goal is always to find all of the morphing objects that are hidden throughout the game and then hit the extras button for the possibility of even more fun after completing the main and bonus games.

Agent A is also a lot of fun although there is a LOT of backtracking. I got it when it was $.99 and have played it several times so it was a good deal for me.

Also check out Big Fish Games although I don't believe they are participating in the 30 day deal.

The adventure games, particularly by Artifex Mundi are not quick games. You can spend literally the whole day playing one if you keep your finger off the hint button. It is a great way to stay occupied and out of trouble on a rainy day at home.

LPPe

What is it, and why is it doing 36 things, with like 10 ive never even seen before, like a megaphone named 'cell broadcasts'.

Help Text Notification Sound On Call End...

Just recently (within the past few days) my LG V30+ has started playing the text message notification sound every time I hang up a call. Needless to say, this is beyond annoying. If anyone know where I can look to get this turned off, your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Stock LG V30+ on T-Mobile, using a Plantronics Voyager Edge bluetooth headset (I've been using this headset since got the phone - even before with my G4).

Android, lay cell down no notification tone

I've met phones where you can set them to mute by placing them face down, but never one that does it face up. It might be worth checking through your system settings, especially sound-related but also anything related to customisation, notifications, gestures, etc, just to make sure that there isn't an option in there that has been set to a strange default ("default" because a factory reset will set all settings to their defaults). Look for any option that might mute based on orientation: it could be that a problem with the senor has changed how it behaves, so I'd turn off anything that might be orientation-dependent.

And when you say "no new apps installed" do you mean "I didn't restore any apps after the factory reset" or "I've not installed any new apps around the time this started"? If the first then fine. If however you did restore the apps you previously had installed you may have restored the cause of the problem. Not having installed new apps doesn't exclude the possibility that an update to an old one caused this. Maybe try running in "safe mode" for a bit: if the problem is still there then it's part of the system or one of the apps pre-installed by the manufacturer. If the problem goes away in safe mode then it's one of the apps you have installed.
