Yes the device admin was activated for each app I tried. One if the Devs responded and said the issue is with the s10 sensors. The ones I have tried DO work on older Galaxy, HTC 10, and Pixel.

I Can't Download From Play Store using Reverse Tethering?

no problem if User deep has not been there for two years. i have the same problem. i am able to surf the internet through the usb tethering using the pc internet i can open the whatsapp messages in my mobile device xoloq800. but when i opt for a download from playstore notheing happens. it searches for the network.......... even the whatsapp application cannot be updated.
You can clear data and caches of playstore app and then try downloading again.hope its work

Yeah, that "wallpaper" you installed probably was an app ("live wallpapers" are apps themselves, and there are many apps whose purpose is to provide a selection of wallpapers).

There is no distinction between a "virus" and an app. Android malware takes the form of "trojans", i.e. malware hidden inside an app that the user installs. So I'm 100% certain that is what happened here: you installed adware when you downloaded that wallpaper. Whether the adware is the wallpaper itself (if it's a live wallpaper), a "wallpaper app" or another app that was downloaded and which you installed (allowed Chrome to install) at the same time, the adware is an app and if you find and delete it the ads will stop.

New evolution game

I think it's called from singularity to cell. Has anyone on here heard of it or tried it? It sounds interesting.

Android update messed up Car Kit (Parrot CK3100)

From the description I'd guess that the OP was trying to voice dial contacts that were stored in the car kit itself.

It seems odd if the car kit is unable to access its own features as a result of a phone update, so does the car kit have settings of its own (maybe controllable through the phone)? It sounds like a default action has been changed, presumably due to the way the updated phone presents itself to the car kit, which is why I wonder whether there's a setting in the car kit to define what pressing that button does?

I'm sure Google Assistant can do voice dialling. But personally I don't use Assistant so am sympathetic to someone who maybe doesn't want to, and also curious about a third-party accessory that previously had this functionality itself seeming to now force you to use Assistant. If you don't use either Assistant or a Google Search app or widget then disabling the Google app kills Assistant completely. I don't know whether that would be enough to make it revert to the previous behaviour, or whether it will still prompt you - on my phone it removed prompts to enable Assistant, but I don't use a car kit (don't use my phone in a car) so can't say whether it would change how the kit responds to this.

You are probably right.
I just assumed that the lock was the phone lock.

I have never had a SIM lock become activated on my part, only by the phone vendor.
They gave me a new SIM card for free, so no problem.

That might be a good solution here as well- to just get another SIM card from the phone company.
