Help ZTE Lever Android 5.1 Terrible Speech to Text Bug - Punctuation

Punctuation is an essential aspect of accurate speech recognition, and it's frustrating when it doesn't work correctly. Have you tried updating your device's software to the latest version? This might help address the issue as software updates often include bug fixes and improvements. Additionally, you can try using third-party speech-to-text apps from the Google Play Store as alternative options.
Dude this thread is from 2016!!!!!! So don't expect an answer.

There is no more issue with Google's keyboard any more.

Very weird game behavior

mikedt - Where do I look to make sure the proper language is set? Settings -> System -> Languages & input -> Languages is set to English (United States)

It's in the game itself. In the Classic Words, you tap on the gear icon top right, Solo Mode, word list options, with the various country flags.

Unscramble Letters I don't know for sure, I've never played that one. But it could be it's only using British English word lists.

Best password vault apps

The main thing I'm looking for is the ability to store "offline" data such as passcodes for physical equipment and other data besides usernames & Passwords. I'm currently using an Evernote file for this and have been for years but I know those aren't encrypted so I would like to upgrade to something that is. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Looks like this is a couple if weeks old, but ..

One app that is very good is SSE, an encryption app with lots of nice features that includes an encrypted password vault. What may be a deal breaker with some people, that I consider a big plus, is that keeps nothing in the "cloud", but you can backup your vault, and save it wherever you want. My "cloud" is a flash drive on my key chain. :) There're also windows and Linux versions of SSE

Basic Help Needed: What can be done with a rooted phone?

Hi all,

Sorry to be asking such an incredibly basic question. I've been wanting to ask this question for a LONG time, but this is the first time I'm feeling enough courage to ask such a basic question.

Is there a list of "Best benefits" of rooting a phone that I could look at?

I'm aware of the risks, but what about the positives?

Thank you for any help!!!
the benefits these days are minimal. its not quite like the old days. i have rooted many phones, but in the past. my first rooted phone was an htc evo 4g. it really unlocked the potential of that phone. i overclocked it which made the phone run faster. i flashed custom kernels which made the battery life much better. i also flashed a script that made the phone's sd card into internal storage.

but in todays phones, all of this is not necessary as most phone's chip are pretty fast. some phones you can format the sd card as internal. and most phone's have pretty good sized batteries.......so for me, the need to root is not there.

also keep in mind that some apps....like banking apps, will not work on rooted phones.
I forgot to mention:

Is there a handbook or something I could have a read of? Even if I have to pay premium money for a book that explains this?
these are pretty old threads, but the concepts and terminology are still the same.

also do your research on rooting. not all phones can be rooted. and not all phone's have the same rooting proceess. i would first go to XDA Forums and see if there is a development forum for your device. also check to see how active it is. if there is no forum for your device, then there is no community to back the phone. just remember that no devs=no fun. also check to see if there is a custom recovery, mainly TWRP. if you can root, but there is no twrp, I would seriously advice on not rooting the device. the #1 tool for root users is a custom recovery which is used for flashing custom roms and making nandroid backups.

what phone do you have? and out of curiosity, why do you want to root?

Launcher for TV-box

Can some please suggest a plausible launcher or other solution? Every launcher to date appears to be incompatible .
I'm hoping to use a X96Q tv box (Allwinner H313/H616; Android 10, rooted, comes with Chrome 72 though it seems happy with Chrome 114, Odin and EinkBro browsers) as a intranet graphic terminal;
my problem is that I have yet to find a launcher to replace the Chinese manufacturer's home-screen (mediabox) from which I can not hide/delete unwanted links to Play Store, Netflix, Chrome, and Youtube app links so I can present links to:
Option 1) ssh 192.168.0.2
Option 2) web-client 192.168.0.2:80
Option 3) web-client 192.168.0.2:8080
Option 4) web-client 192.168.0.3:80
I would like to display a homescreen wallpaper and perhaps even dare I suggest a clock/date widget.

Testing an app

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but I used to upload my apps on the google developer console and then you had the roll-out option to send them for review. Now I've been told that I have to test them before, either with an internal or a closed testing. But once I send an app to a number of people, how does it work to have it reviewed? I don't see the roll-out option, should I wait a few days? How does it work?

Help Moving My Data From Old Android Phone To New Android Phone?

Have a look at Super Backup & Restore in the Playstore.

I've used it successfully many times, and It'll backup what you need except for the notes.

Thanks!

But I just checked and it only supports Android 5.0 and up and my original device is only running Android 4.1.1...

Story how I've released app and nothing happened

Hi there. Here are a few tips on how to make your Android mobile app successful and attract a harmonious traffic:
Define your target audience: Clearly identify who your app is intended for. Understand their needs, preferences, and pain points to tailor your app's features and user experience accordingly.
User-centric design: Create an intuitive and user-friendly interface that provides a seamless and enjoyable experience. Focus on simplicity, easy navigation, and responsiveness to ensure users can effortlessly interact with your app.
Optimize performance: Optimize your app's performance by minimizing loading times, reducing app size, and optimizing memory usage. A smooth and fast app experience is crucial for user satisfaction and retention.
Regular updates and bug fixes: Continuously improve your app by releasing updates that address user feedback, fix bugs, and introduce new features.
App store optimization (ASO): Optimize your app's visibility in the Google Play Store by strategically using relevant keywords, crafting compelling descriptions, and using appealing visuals. This will help increase organic traffic and attract users searching for apps similar to yours.
Social media and online presence: Leverage social media platforms and online communities to promote your app.
I hope this helps. I wish you every success.😊

Help PYLE PLDNANDVR695 running 4.4.1, data storage

Have you tried rebooting or resetting the head unit? And if the BT is still non-functional after that, then returning it for repair or replacement service is required.
Thank you,
Yes I have, multiple times. I have reinstalled the update multiple times, I have pulled it and checked all wiring and connections. I did manage to get the factory settings code but, it did not give me any insight.

Thanks

Samsung Galaxy Tab s5e mouse scroll problem in OneDrive

I just realized the interaction/relationship between mouse/keyboard and the tablet goes beyond what I realized. Just a guess, but maybe it's related to one of the recent software updates?

Can someone describe what they can expect in the way the tablet allows the mouse/keyboard to behave, in comparison to things that may be done in Windows? The tablet limitations?

One example I find it that, in a Chrome Google search, I have no vertical scroll bars. "Sometimes"., sometimes not, I can gently press the left mouse button on the right side of the page, and scroll in the same fashion as if I was using my finger to scroll.

Another case is in my android settings, i.e., if I select "Connections', those settings are not in a subfolder, but in a panel to the right. The problem is, the keyboard on functions in the right panel. There is no way to select the settings categories with the keyboard. The mouse scroll button functions in that right panel, but not on the left. I did discover that when I hover the cursor over the righmost side of one of the category boxes, a very thin scroll button, about in inch long, appears.

Something kinda similar to that looks like it happens on the right side of the google search window. Ther's a sight protrusion, as if the mouse hover is unhiding a scrollbar, but whatever it is, it has no scroll function.

I haven't had tine to scout out more examples, but I'm suspect I will find some.
