2. [WhatsApp\Media\WhatsApp Images\Sent] this location images should it auto show up in Samsung Gallery app? I notice they do not show up. I notice if I take a photo and photo appear in DCIM folder and then I select the photo and send photo to my whatsapp friend, immediately a copy of the photo appeared automatically in [WhatsApp\Media\WhatsApp Images\Sent]" folder, at this point i can see the photo in Gallery, after this point i delete the photo from my DCIM folder and i no longer see the photo in Gallery, photo in [WhatsApp\Media\WhatsApp Images\Sent] not deleted.

I am just learning the android environment. I am trying to code a mobile app that converts speech to text. Every example I find uses the deprecated "onActivityResult" function. I cannot find even one example that uses the new "registerForActivityResult" function. Please help.

My device had updated its software about 2 months ago and now I'm having a constant, very annoying issue. Every time I open my TD banking app, the next time i go to unlock my screen, the screen locks up and the device is rendered useless until i do a full reboot. I know the OS is not frozen because i will be able to see the screen that is supposed to be showing during the restart of the device (while holding down the screen unlock and volume down buttons). I've tried reinstalling the app and that did not resolve the issue. I'm not sure if its a problem with the app itself or the software update that was applied and i do not know how to revert to previous updates

Hi and thanks in advance for any replys. I have a new Reev pro with vir 12. Android. Im having a problem with an app called workday. When attempting to view/download a .pdf I get this error message "failed to make temp file directory" I have tried all the standard workarounds I usually do with this kind of issue, data and cash clear, reinstall, permissions even installed Adobe pdf viewer. I have heard that vir 11 had some code permissions issues with external storage but not internal storage. Im not savvy with droid code but thought some one here would have a suggestion.

On the home screen when I press Photos it brings up locally stored photos (on sd card or phone memory) and then all my 100's of Google Photos stored on line, uploaded from my pc, (many years worth!!)

It is a nuisance to see all the photos all the time.

Normally I wish to only see photos taken with the phone camera, which are locally stored on the sd card in folders..

Then occasionally, but rarely, I would like to see some Google photos.

Is this possible?

Just upgraded from a Samsung Note9 to the Fold4. I didn't know there is a S Pen Fold Edition vs a S Pen Pro. The Fold edition S pen that came with the case, does not have functions the Note9 S Pen has. I used the S pen button to take pictures on the Note9. The Fold Edition button will not operate the camera. I am looking at getting the Pro S pen, but looks like it will not fit the case I bought with the Fold4. Lookiing for a case that will hold the Fold4 and the S Pen Pro. Have not found one yet. Anyone know of a case that will hold the Fold4 and the S pen Pro?

upfront: sorry for this being a little bit long, but it needs the explanations...

I just found this awesome method to uninstall these preinstalled/unwanted apps from my phone via Android Debugging Bridge. Before I thought the only way to do that would be to root the device. Well, it all worked just fine, the apps are gone and I'm happy. What I basically did was deleting (among other apps) all the Samsung apps for the standard phone tasks (phone, messages, notes, calendar), because I'm using only the Google equivalents for those tasks.

Just one problem wasn't solved by deleting those apps - my Google calendar.

On the left you see a screenshot of Google calendar from my smartphone showing the four categories in my calendar: blue - events | yellow - tasks | red - reminders | green - birthdays

On the right you see a screenshot of Google Calendar opened on my PC. The categories match (instead of events there is written my actual name), they are synchronized, everything is fine.

The problem is with this additional "My calendar" (circled) on my smartphone, which I don't want to be there. It is not being synchronized (which is good), so I'm guessing that this is the preinstalled default "on-device" calendar. Until now, I couldn't find any way to delete it... Now coming back to the beginning about deleting the preinstalled apps, I thought that deleting the Samsung Calendar app would resolve this problem - it also didn't.

In the list of all installed apps in ADB I had four entries searching for "calendar", after deleting the Samsung Calendar app it's three:
1) com.google.android.calendar
2) com.google.android.syncadapters.calendar
3) com.samsung.android.calendar (this is the deleted Samsung app)
4) com.android.providers.calendar

Now to my questions:
a) Does anyone know how to delete the "My calendar" from my Google Calendar or better, how to delete it completely from my phone and with that automatically from my Google Calendar

b) Does this app #4 (com.android.providers.calendar) have anything to do with this or what is this app doing exactly (in German it's called "Kalenderspeicher" which means something like "calendar memory" or "calendar storage")

When my secuirty patch came in the state the other day, was eating at ninety-nine restraunt in Plymouth, were my summer cottage is, it went through pretty well when dining in, after that, the chopping motion starting to act up and was using it to walk down the hill by my neighbro's place, and suddenly it was a bothersome with that motion, soooo I was left for a second just standing in pitch blackness, due to the surrounding forest, so after just turning that off, it will go bonkers when the screen uptime was at my default, around 15 seconds, and yet I did left it on with the screen time out in the cabinet I have here, and seems pretty okay for the time being. Sooo I am hoping my Moto edge plus, will make it throughout night time when I do photograph evening images...

So glad that is just a small glitch though, it has been acting odd though when charging, swiping apps running around about 5 seconds when turning from Nova launcher, and when unplugged it was better of running through the apps like they where normal.. So yeah tale of two cities.

After the last update, the first user (me) that I had pinned to top of messages was wiped from my phone. I used My Google Message Restore from 3 days ago and it only restored about 10 older messages.
Any others have this issue? Is there any other place I could try to retrieve the messages from?

I don't have a lot of experience with android, so I'll just outline what I'm trying to achieve, and what I've tried so far.

I work at a company that makes custom furniture, and we label every part individually.
The label contains a QRcode, I want to scan that code on my phone, and it should open a PDF on a local server.

When I (test) scan a Sharepoint-link this way, it brings me to the PDF perfectly, however, I cant use sharepoint links for this, as all files are automatically placed on this local server.

I think the QR-code should be
- smb://server/folder/filename.pdf
However, without 3rd party software it just opens the link like a textfile.

there are several apps that should add this functionality, but the problem so far is:
I can connect to the server in the app fine, but it still wont open de smb:// link
(smart File Manager/File Commander/Cx File Explorer)
I cannot connect to the server in the app, but it does open the smb:// link in the app.
(andSMB)

My question:
Is there a way to manually open all scanned QR-codes with a smb:// link in a certain app?

My Lenovo tablet (TB-J716F) has an issue with its clockrates. It refuses to clock the Snapdragon 870 CPU cores over 1ghz and the Adreno-GPU stays at 300mhz locked, even tho temperatures do not exceed 40C, unless it detects that a benchmark is running. I found something to manually adjust CPU clocks on my rooted device and that works great so far.

I tried Konabess already and deleting everything except the highest frequency finally worked and temperatures are great, but having it constantly run at 670mhz drains the battery too much.

is there a way to manually control the frequencies without using Konabess?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

While I'm connected to my car via Bluetooth, I am not able to adjust the call volume on my phone; it is stuck half way. I disabled absolute volume, but it still cannot be adjusted. When making a call off of Bluetooth, I have no trouble adjusting the volume. This issue is only while connected to Bluetooth. Any other suggestions?

My front camera (selfie camera as my mrs calls it) stopped working. Spent an hr in live chat with google, still unresolved. They told me to hard reset my phone to stock - which I do not want to do as setting up my work security stuff takes eons...Anyway - anybody experience this and resolve it. I don't recall changing any permissions or downloading any apps where I revoked permissions. Back camera works just fine....

I bought phones for my employees. One left, and gave me back her phone. I did a factory reset, thinking it would wipe everything and come back like a new phone. But it now locks me out and still remembers the Google ID and lock screen pattern from the former user. How do I take this back to actual new condition, no lock screen no google account no password. Just a "blank" phone I can set up on the network again.

I know Play services are unavoidable and even necessary but the app ads are really annoying and also it's a huge data hog, overall. Any way of killing the ads or at least causing them to suggest something useful? Friggin game ads - arrggh.

Just this evening I've noticed the adaptive brightness on my Pixel 6 Pro to be much too bright. In a pretty dark room it's setting the brightness to around 90%! I've had to switch it to manual, which isn't ideal.

Can anyone think of a reason why this might change, and how to rectify it?

I think there should be a setting for adaptive brightness where you tell it, roughly, how light you like it. Some prefer a very bright screen and others prefer it a bit dimmer....

I use only a few apps and I don't store any personal data. Do I really need these security upgrades? What will these upgrades protect me from as I store no information on my phone? Do I really need to spend $500 on another phone? If so, then for what? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

I have noticed a rather strange thing with my S21 Ultra. Whenever I play a YouTube video or any kind of video from a website, I pull down the main panel screen and it shows this(See below). It automatically starts playing. What does this mean and is my phone's activity being cast on some random device? I actually have never authorized or heard of this device before. I'm no expert but I actually never cast my phone anywhere, I just use my phone for texting and calling. I'm worried that someone is hacked my phone but I have all updates for my apps and am very discipline with updating.
