Okay so I had a psycho ex that was kind enough to buy me a note 20 ultra a few years back.

Long story short my cell service went out one day only to find out the imei is blacklisted :/ idk why she just didn't reach out to me and have the bill switched to my name but WHATEVER.

Anyway, I've tried to unlock but can't. This device is to solid to not try to unlock and get on simple mobile. Right now I can only really use it for fortnite and some video chatting on the side. I suppose I could run a voip app for calling but idk I've had different experiences with those as well. Finally, I don't like running hotpot on my s22 ultra just so I can use my note 20 ultra because it burns thru the battery like a nut job and I don't wanna kill my ultra battery for good.

So. Is there an actually procedure to unlock this thing and change the imei so I can get a cheap carrier on it? Or is it better to just run it on wifi.

At the very least if it's better just to stick it on wifi I'd like to kill all the att firmware and bloatware crap. Thank you

My Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus comes with a voicemail app; not sure if it's a Verizon or Samsung program. Anyway, I don't get notifications of any kind when people leave voice mails. On previous Galaxy S8 I got email reminders and if memory service also push notifications. Now I get NOTHING, I only find voice messages by accident if I happen to go to phone app and check recent calls, or open up the Voice Mail app itself. I have confirmed notifications for this app ARE on. I'm stumpted. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.

I just downloaded the July update. It's only 19.77 mb so it installs quickly but still takes time to optimize your phone. I use Verizon and live in the suburbs of New York City.

I have used Titanium Backup for years and it has been useful. However, for the past few months, the backup to Dropbox feature is no longer working. As such, I really need to consider another app.

I use the backup primarily for safety - have only ever restored once or twice. I really want an app that can backup to the cloud - either a device on my LAN or Dropbox. What app would you recommend and why? Thanks.

I have a Google Pixel 6 and I put the Spigen Tough Armor product on it to protect the outer shell. Does anyone make a leather belt clip that would comfortably fit the extra dimensions of the Spigen armor? I have a huge leather belt clip for the iPhone 8, and even that cannot comfortably fit the Spigen.

Is it possible to specify a specific color in an ImageView drawable and not have that color drawn? Or have that color drawn as transparent?

I know you can just set it to the transparent color in the original file, but is there a way to tell Android, in code, or with a specific XML line or setting, to replace one color with another, or draw a specific color as transparent, within an ImageView drawable?

I know you can set background images to be tinted, or faded/transparent, but I mean, make it so a specified color in an ImageView is either not drawn at all, drawn as transparent, or replaced with a different color.

I don't receive e-sim messages on my samsung, what could be the problem??

In the past month, or so, I acquired a Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and in order to utilize texts on the watch I switched my texting app from Textra to Google Messages. I never had an issue with Textra in the years I've used it. However, with Messages I get a "failed to send" on a text at least once a day. I have no idea why it's happening or what to do to correct it.

I was taking a nap yesterday and had my Galaxy S22 right next to me. Right before I fell asleep, it vibrated. Which app as it? It was weather! Weather for ****s sake! I disabled vibration on it but would like to do for all other apps except for calls and messages.

Let's face it... ANYONE can get a gun these days, regardless of age, mental health, ethnic backgrounds, etc...
Being in the wrong place at the wrong time seems to be whether you're here today or not.
I see absolutely no end to this problem and I think it's just going to get worse.

How can I turn this off so I do not get these notifications anymore? (This is the first time I have ever gotten such a notification)

As a background, I've gone through free tutorials many years back but they taught me very basic / elementary items on how to use and navigate through the Android development tool. To worsen the situation, no one in stackoverflow can answer as that seems for high level professionals, not a beginner like me. The android development team won't help as they are handling the android tool itself. They stated they do not handle java. So I've no choice but to come here, hoping someone knows something.

I recently found useful and up-to-date tutorials about how to create Sqlite on Android but still, the tutorial teaches the whats, not the hows. That means if can only follow that specific example but can't write my own. The link clearly shows that a DBAdapter is not required. This surprises me as the android documentation clearly mentions the adapter, saying it is required. So does anyone know about this? Could you advice on every step as I'm not an expert?

Device: Galaxy S7. I've used Whatsapp for years and always had (and still have) Back up to Google drive set to only when I click 'back up'. Just over a week ago, I enabled end-to-end encrypted backup, it seemed fine. But since then, every morning my phone shows for some time (10-20 mins) Backup in progress as notification. Also below the 'back up' button it reads Your backup is being end-to-end encrypted for the first time. This process can take a while. Which seems strange as I thought this had completed over a week ago.

There is a few sections keep throwing me off and I tried looking through the entire menu, I know I did it once, but I always forget the first time I attempt things and just sort of lay to sleep, just wondering on how can I change the menu font color, for the app drawer..
