I have recently developed a serious issue in that I cannot send/receive texts from anyone with an Apple device and with very few exceptions call or receive calls from Apple devices.

The back story: Towards the end of March my phone was acting all sorts of buggy, and after contacting Motorola during which their Level Two diagnostics team remoted in and found nothing wrong.They suggested a factory reset, since for any further diagnostics I would need to send the phone in of find a Verizon Company store, so I agreed and did the reset

While this seemed on to fix the buggines issue a new one arrised in that it no-communicat-o with Apple-o's
Nothing I could do was able to rectify the problem.

Figuring this to be a carrier issue I contacted Verizon and they made some changes on their end they also said I had an "outdated" SIM card. [I got this SIM card in 2018 after loosing my company cell phone and I have kept it throughout my time with Verizon during which I have gone thru probably five phones, all Motorola. Some were to upgrade my model and some were replaced under warranty]. I went that night right after work to the local Verizon store, (a non company one) and got a new SIM but my problem remains.

So in desperation a did another reset but unfortunately it did not fix it either. I will also say that I get almost no calls anymore, even from Android users, kinda like everyone fell off the face of the earth.....

I used to have an IT guy live below me, and he is also rather well versed in phone technology, and thru the various "issues" that I have had, I/we know how to cover most of the bases and learned how to fix most issues, but he is baffled on this.

I desperately need to get this fixed, and dont want to throw money at getting a new phone only to still have the same issue, my gut says its gotta be a software issue or setting issue but i'll be damned what it is. Its becoming an issue with my job since I cant talk to management, they use Apples and even some non apple users, like
my mother, for example, is 82, and has a hard enough time with technology says my phone number just wont work, she gets nothing..

The only thing I did not yet do is to try resetting the APN. I have the Preferred Network Type as Global, same as it has always been, in fact no setting is different from the past in terms of how I have the phone set up and I have been thru the settings many times over to see what I missed. I may still have overlooked something, but I needed to go to the experts, thus my thread here.....

All apps up to date
All setting the same as before the issues
No difference on WiFi or using if using LTE on roaming

Question : How to create Mount script as/ or Link2sd symbolic link in adoptable storage (format microsdcard as internal memory) in Android 6.0.1 marshmallow any help

I have an old mobile with upgrade of Android 6.0.1 marshemellow with 16gb internal memory(11gb reserved for system and only 5 GB free space for user apps and files). I want to make 128gb or 64 GB microsdcard as internal memory.

I had changed many apps manifest through apkeditor and changed their default install location. To external still some files are moved and many apps cAnt change the manifest.

So to add at least 60gb I decided to move apps and folder redirect dcim download whatsapp Facebook to external micro SD card so that at least 2gb space is always free in internal memory.

Now the question and problem is that can I cheat or mislead the Android 6.0.1 marshmallow (without root or with root) throughs

1. Using apps like link2sd or app2sd or folder redirection appps or
2. Through SM PM command.

Can both adoptable storage (format as sd as internal and the link2sd symbolic link mount scripts) work together as after formatting as card as internal Android assumes no external card and the how will be it work from redirecting or symbolic link to internal folder. I tried Inc it gave "Mount script error"

And it Any way or script if I can write or tell it will be great help for my problem

First day using tasker. How can I set it up to open an app , do certain taps on the screen and then be done? Pretty simple but never used tasker before.

I'm seriously considering upgrading to the S22 Ultra. I've had my S7 Edge for more than five years and as good as it has been, it is showing its age now. Currently whenever I take a photograph on the S7 it automatically uploads to my Dropbox account. Will I still be able to do this with S22 Ultra. There was something on the Samsung website about pictures being automatically uploaded to One Drive, but i would rather carry on using Dropbox. Thanks.

The wife and I are meeting friends at the cabin to enjoy the weekend. I'm smoking out a ham and everyone will bring sides. We will eat too much and have a great time. The forecast for the weekend has the temps in the mid sixties with a slight chance of rain. If it rains out my smoked ham adventure, it will simply have to cook in the oven. No matter how the weekend goes down, I'm blessed to have good friends to share the occasion with.

So I've created two difference date objects


I save them to my shared preferences and recall them later to find the difference in the two. However, since these are saved as strings, and converting them to integers doesnt work because of the format, how can I go about finding the difference?

I recently got an A50 and noticed there is no indicator in status bar to indicate if WiFi calling is connected or not. On all prior phones there was an icon to show status.

Is this something I have to enable? If so how?

Tried chat support with Samsung but all they did was send me link to manual which I have, and told me how to turn feature on or off...which is not what I asked.

To make it clear I KNOW HOW TO TURN FEATURE ON I am asking about missing icon in status bar.

I have a Fold 3 running Android 12 and One UI 4.1.
I connect a Bluetooth speaker to stream radio at work but even with do not disturb switched on and ringtone volume set to zero, when a call comes in - the speaker produces a ringtone which I don't want. Although the phone does remain silent.I feel there must be a setting somewhere - but I can't find one. Any help, step by step, would be very much appreciated thank you.

I have my husband's old Galaxy S4 that is pin locked. There are photos and videos on it of our dead kitties that I am trying to retrieve. We cannot remember the pin and no matter how much we try, no option pops up to enter an email or password. We cannot get it to pick up on wifi without the pin so we cannot unlock it through google accounts. Any ideas?

I am trying to forecast solar power online using my tflite model and implement it in Android Studio so that I can make an application. How can I scrape the data through the website (download it as csv and make it as the input of my model)? Also, the data that I need to download is from four locations (means I need to download four csv files). How can I do that in android studio? Because I'm planning to make a real time forecast. Hi, I use google photos as my main "gallery" interface and for backup having switched various devices since 2016, all of my photos are backuped there.
Looking for help in organisation :

1. If I create albums - google can use ai to add photos to a "family" or "friends" album via face recognition - this is a great feature, however ,when I look in the main gallery I see all the photos together , those which have been assigned to an album and those which have not.
2. I am looking for a way to see which photos are then *not categorized* in any album so I can work on organising those.... Is there a way to view only those?
3. regarding whatsapp photos - I have an options to backup these up as well, this however makes a complete mess in the library, because said photos do not have a timestamp and are suddenly all thrown into the date of the backup ?! - any way around this?
4. also regarding whatsapp photos - is there a way to backup only photos from *specific* chats (i.e. family) and not backup the rest so the library is kept at a minimum?

Dropped my Samsung Galaxy A51 5G in the sink under running water for a second. The phone speaker works but only for call audio now – media and notifications are completely silent. Bluetooth i off and nothing is plugged in of course, but I can still hear out the bottom speaker normally for the ringer and calling audio, just not media and notifications. I've tried turning my phone off for at least 30 seconds and back on 5 times with no change. Starting in safe mode did nothing too. Everything works normally through headphones, though.

Any way to fix this? Thanks in advance

EDIT: I didn't do anything different, but after a few minutes it suddenly worked. I think it's worth leaving this post up to see what people think for future advice

I have a samsung galaxy s8 and its 3 years old now. Recently my screen started to become yellow and unresponsive when i turned it on. I cannot use my phone at all pls help !

I have just enabled wifi calling on my A50.
Works (as far as I know.)
I know how to enable it as well as disable it.
I have also read about the pros and cons related to it.
So, all of those kinds of things I feel pretty good about.
But, I can't say that I understand it enough to explain how this will work in a practical sense.

Accordingly, I wonder if someone here understands enough about wifi calling so as to reply with an opinion as to how the following scenario will work..

Scenario 1:
Let's say I am at home, have an exceptionally strong wifi signal and have wifi calling enabled.
Now, my wife calls me from her phone (which is across town.)
Her phone does NOT have wifi calling enabled.
Will I receive her call over my wifi or cellular networks ?

Launched on the 11th of April, 2014, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is now 8 years old today!



One of the best phones I have ever owned.

Sadly, my S5, G900F, met with an unfortunate accident a few months ago and has now been consigned to my graveyard drawer.

A new Pixel 6 with a new Google 30W charger occasionally disables charging with a warning that the USB-C charging is disabled due to liquid or debris, which seems rather absurd, as they are new and perfectly dry and clean.

Using a dollar-store USB-C cable plugged into a laptop charges the phone just fine. Is there a way to disable such warnings and continue charging with the 30W Google charger, or is mine somehow defective?
