My Samsung Galaxy A51 was wiped by accident (not by me, but by a security app installed by my employer) but fortunately it was backed up to Google Drive before the reset.

When restarting the phone it can not find or restore from the backup, that I see clearly when I log into Google Drive.
I have installed an ADB shell at my PC and permitted developer access through USB on the phone.

With the
".\adb shell bmgr list sets"
command in a shell I can see the (above mentioned) backup listed.

However when I try to recover the backup with the token number, bmgr outputs this:

"Scheduling restore: Galaxy A51
restoreStarting: 0 packages
restoreFinished: -1000
done"

Apparently nothing is restored and I can not figure out why.
Can anybody understand or give a hint how to make the bmgr to recognise or evoke the backup set, that is not empty.

Hello All!
On my Moto G Stylus, using Android 11, I used to get notifications for app updates. They stopped arriving. Me being me, I forget to check & there are many, many updates waiting when I finally remember.

Is there a way to turn on notifications when an app update is available?
I could not find it, but did find lots of ways to stop getting notifications. Using those backwards doesn't work.

PS: Every day there are lots of Google app updates. Sometimes I'll update, then go back later in the day. There are often 12 or so more to download. Is it normal that Google has lots of updates, or is my phone repeating the same ones?

I know how to insert, delete and update data in sqlite database using java in android development, but I want that when a user install my application and run it for the first time then it asks to or directly start downloading the database and then start working.

Just started popping up a week ago. (english(US) ). I have googled and tried:
1)In google/settings/voice/offline speech recognition/ choose auto-update and set to auto update languages at any time. (installed tab only offers uninstall, NOT update)
2) in google play store , "speech services by google", choose uninstall, does its thing, choose update, does its thing.
3) leave wifi in my router ON and turn wifi on on phone.

Still no joy. When I tap or double tap that toast nothing happens. When I hold it I can silence it.

New S21 phone here. I have Googled and poked around in phone, but no answer to a seemingly basic question. How do I get labels on Fav Icons at bottom of screen? When I put a shortcut icon on the Home Screen, it is automatically labeled, as shown in pic. This is great.

But the 'Favorite' Icons at bottom have no labels. This is not great. How can I get the labels to appear?

Thinking of putting Lineage on my old LG US996.

Anyone know if this will be minus all the crap that LG put on this device. I'm mostly trying to avoid LG updating the phone AT ALL. Limiting (as much as possible without flashing Graphene) Google's "surveillance" would also be a plus.

For those that may not know, the US996 is totally carrier unlocked. With the correct SIM card I can run on any carrier available in he USA.

My father passed away a week ago and among grieving I now have to deal with his evil ex girlfriend that has decided to hack his Facebook. She deleted and blocked me and is making all sorts of posts. I have tried reporting to Facebook but since I am blocked from his page I am not getting anywhere. The only other option is I have his cell phone which has access to his Facebook and email that can lock his account from her accessing but I don’t know the pin code. I walked into a few mobile stores today and they said all they could do is a factory reset which won’t help me. Is there any other options? Sorry I wrote a book but this is so much to deal with in the midst of planning a funeral. Thanks in advance.

Hi All, Please help to clarify this app,

I was trying to factory reset my phone through TWRP but I couldn't, every time I tried TWRP would just crash and reboot my phone, I tried it one more time and TWRP crashed again but this time my phone booted into recovery mode, not to the system, and now it's stuck on this screen, but it's not opening it, it just shows the LENOVO logo and it says to hold the power button to reboot the phone (which brings me back to this screen). I think the system is corrupted and I don't know what to do.

Is there any way to set the "recents" screen to show only names of apps on one screen from top to bottom without showing all open emails, browsing, etc.
I had my old Samsung note 9 set up like that.
Doesn't seem very secure on this phone.

Hello, I recently began having issues with my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5g. Certain contacts in my phone aren't receiving SMS messages from me. On my end, the SMS sends but they never recieve it. I can still call and send MMS messages to those same contacts and they can still call, text, and send picture messages to me. This all began happening about 2 weeks after I switched over from Cricket to Xfinity Mobile. The affected contacts are all on a variety of carriers and also have a variety of IPhone and Android phones

What I've tried as far as Troubleshooting with no success:
Factory Data Reset
Mobile Network Reset
Forcestop of Both Contacts/Message App
Clearing Cache and Data for Message/Contact app
Made sure they weren't on Block list
Deleting Text Thread and Contact and starting over
Replacing the SIM card with a new one
Called Xfinity Mobile and had them do a reset of my service.

I'm an absolutely stumped by this issue and hope someone can help me out!
