Help Notifications, AGAIN. Utterly utterly infuriated

I've had this Samsung Galaxy S6 for maybe 5 years. Dual SIM: one for my clients, one for my life.

I need a mobile phone for one thing and one thing only: when an email arrives in one of my Gmail accounts ("for clients" Gmail address) I want a NOTIFICATION. That is, a bleep. Clients have been sending emails for maybe 10 years now more often than ringing. That's why. No other reason.

I couldn't give a flying eff about any of the other functions of my "smart" phone. I really could not care less.

For some reason, the *****s at Samsung (phone manufacturers generally) have always had a problem understanding that for some users (actually, who knows, maybe quite a few), this "notification of email" functionality is actually quite important. Stories of delayed email notifications are as old as "smart" phone technology itself: the history of frustrations of users of Samsungs (and other makes) is unending, because the manufacturers evidently have never given and continue not to give the faintest eff.

So the other day I got an email from Google telling me that my password on my "for clients" Gmail address had somehow been "spotted out in the open". It seemed a genuine alert. I went to Google and changed the password.

Since then the arrangements I have for notifications have stopped working.

In addition to the standard "Gmail" app on my phone I also installed something some time ago called "Spike" which occasionally manages to give me a notification faster than the Gmail app. This has also stopped functioning.

Naturally I have logged out and back in to my "for clients" account on my Gmail app, so as to update to the new password. But the notifications are still not happening.

None of the above is helped by the fact that you, seemingly, can't actually "uninstall" the Gmail app, switch off the phone and then switch it on again and do a reinstall. No doubt the efffing geniuses at Samsung have determined that, oooh, you never need to do this: the software and the hardware are so effing marvellous, you NEVER have a need to do this.

Anyone got any idea what I have to do here? Do I have to completely reset the entire phone? In fact, because I loathe these phones so much and want to have nothing to do with them, this is not such a big deal: in anticipation of something going wrong with this effing marvellous, dependable technology, I keep no data or anything (other than shopping lists) on the phone.

It's still a pain in the RS, however. Other solutions welcome.

Gmail has stopped syncing with Moto G7!

Recently my Gmail has ceased to sync with my Moto G7 Android phone. I went to the Storage section of the settings as directed in another post which stated that no data would be lost if I cleared the storage.

HOWEVER, when you click on Clear Storage in the settings on Android, the following message appears:

"Delete app data?
All this apps data will be deleted permanently. This includes all files, settings, accounts, databases, etc."

So how could the prior post (which is dated 4/20/2016) possibly be correct saying that nothing will be deleted? I'm very confused. Thanks in advance for your assistance in clearing this up.

ZOOM VIDEO 2X S21 ULTRA

hi everyone, a question, I noticed that in the videos going from 2x in FHD 60 to 3X there is a huge difference in quality, recording with 2X of zoom the image seems mixed and not sharp while with the 3X zoom it is much more clear, why? thank you very much

Samsung Galaxy a71 Has No Gyroscope?

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy a71 used, confirmed in the settings it's the right model and everything, but I tested with a VR app as well as Pokemon Go, but it says no gyroscope was detected... I don't think it's very used, it seems to be in very good condition. It says model a71 in the options, when i researched it before-hand, it seems they all have gyroscopes.

Did I get a gyroscopeless version or something? I bought this specifically for the gyroscope...

Redmi Note 7 reboots automatically when playing something at 90-100% volume in phone speaker

I am facing a weird problem. When my phone plays a video from any source at 90-100% volume it reboots automatically. Below 90% it works fine. Even when I connect an earphone it works fine too. Problem doesn’t exist when it’s connected to power. It only occurs when its not connected to power.Phone calls via speaker works fine too. It only causes problem when I play something from say YouTube, spotify or Facebook at 90-100% volume. It just reboots automatically.

Are there any apps to save text as a conversation?

Hello everyone

First, I hope that my question is in the right place, if I shall change the topic please let me know or just directly change it if you can and notify me then.

My question is:
Are there any mobile apps that can save text in a form of a conversation?
As in, there are chat boxes one 'from me' and the other 'to me'. Also if it can include voice messages.

Hope the question is clear.
As I was thinking about this, I had in mind the thought that probably such software may be used by film makers or writers if they wanted to save a script, as in they are people who need such a thing. Yet I don't know I'm just guessing.

Speaking of pin lock screeen access.

New thought of me, so bear with me, so I tried so many times of unlocking it with the finger print animation with the pin code, but I do not think it had that duration when I first got it though. But it was in great hands, both my sister-in-law and my mother-in-law to keep just to show them. But I sort of got tired of it, and one random day just sort of had my wife sitting next to me, and just saw on she entered her own lock screen pattern in numbers. So I turned on the lock screen numbers, I kept it forever in the same four digital numbers, but I kind of wonder if I should just keep it since I know it, I do not worry too many people will enter in my phone.

Different Device- Different Speeds.

Evening All, A Samsung S8, S9 and Spouse's Ipad thingy all register full speed(100Mbs) with Virgin(UK) Broadband Wifi. My TabA SM-T550, which is what I actually use in the house averages about 22.
I don't know where to start. One thing I have noticed is the Tab A is lasting about 24 hours between charges. May be coincidence or even made up but.... Any suggestions. Thanks in advance. Tim.

Assistant apps compared

Is it just my phone or is the voice recognition poor when using Alexa as the hands free assistant app compared with if I use Google.
Example, when I say 'alexa' I find I need to raise my voice for it to activate from my phone but if I use Google I can say 'hey google' at a normal volume and it activates everytime, I can even activate it if the phones in the pocket provided the mics aren't completely blocked off.

My phone is oneplus nord 5g,8gb.ram,128gb rom

LG K61

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for days on how to unlock bootloader on this phone, but the big problem is there is NO fastboot mode installed.

Is there anyway to workaround to unlock or to enable fastboot mode?

Is there any hidden method with buttons or something to enable bootloader?

This model chipset is mt6765 and what I have tried is I patched both boot.img from A and B slot and flashes back with Transsion program but aftet first start it triggers dm-verity.

I also tried formated Efuse,LAf_a and Laf_b and VBMeta partitions, flashed two boot.img patched and after that it is again trigger dm-verity,but HOW???
There are also LK_a.img and LK_b.img if someone knows how to edit those images to enable fastboot.
Or can someone port recovery image for this phone please?

TB-X505X after root , fastboot loop/stuck

root was success . using Magisk and QFIL. then tab is open and run perfectly.
after that i restarted then it stuck on fastboot .

1. then i tried to fastboot erase userdata

2. then try to open tab using vol+ , vol - and power to open

3. and use command adb reboot edl but it show error: closed.
4. cannot goto download mode again.

Alert me if kids android is wiped?

Ok, so phones have really turned into an issue in our house. I'm at a loss on how to control smart devices in our house. I have been using qustodio and as well as google parent link. But, the kids keep getting around it. I think I just thought of how they're getting around it. I can pretty much guarantee they know how to turn off the phone and then hold the volume and power button to give them the option to default the phone. They then sign in and around all time limits and restrictions I placed. My wife was threatening to get them flip phones if they didn't behave so a few weeks ago, I bought them flip phones. That was worse. They still have browsers and I can't restrict that browser at all. So, I gave them the androids back but locked them down. But I now see they're getting around it.

I like my kids having phones in case there was an emergency. One of our daughters had a bad accident in the middle of nowhere a few years back and broke her femur. The only reason we knew and was able to find her was because she had a phone and she called me screaming in pain. So I don't want to take the phones away.

What I was thinking is I could setup the same restrictions I have on it now. But then I'd need another app that basically would 'check in' to a server every say 5 minutes. If 10-15 minute pass that the phone doesn't check in, then send me an alert that something's up. Does such an app exist?

Help Access a device camera using another device with USB Cable

Hello!

I've a useless Chinese Android device and I had an idea this afternoon to let it work as a camera for my main car Android console.
There's how:
- I've an Android console on my car, and it has 2 USB in-puts. (Like those in pc)
- And I have a Chinese device (Which is supposed to be used as a GPS but it doesn't do the job) So I want to turn it into a camera linked to my car Android console. Note that my Chinese device has an ultra-wide angle camera so it's very interesting doing that!
-*- What I want to know is, is there's any way to link my Chinese device with my main Android console using USB cable, so it can show the live content from the Chinese device's camera in the main car Console, precisely is there's any app that allows this connection?

->> If you need more info and details just let me know <<-

Thanks !
Hajji Abdoullah.

Offline Google Maps has NEVER worked right

Ok so this problem has been going on with my Android tablet and with my new Android Smart phone.

I don't use mobile data, unless I really need to, so I'd rather use offline map (my tablet has no mobile data capability at all).

So many times when I go to use google "Driving mode", there will be no detail on the map. Sometimes it will show the arrow with a white line for the road, other times, the road will not appear at all.

If I turn on mobile data, the map will fill in with detail. But why? Do I have an offline map or not? Why does it seem I need an internet connection in order to properly use the offline map?

If I set a destination, while map is not working right (another words offline), then it seems to show the blue line, and voice prompts work....just visual detail doesn't work right.

If I access driving mode with wi-fi (before leaving home) then it seems to work fine later, when I drive away, or even if I turn off the phone before leaving, then turn phone on (without internet).

So, what is the point of an offline map??

I have the offline map saved on a micro SD card. Wondering if I should try saving offline map on the internal device? (I can't see how that could be the problem but who knows).

EDIT: Oh, and clearing Google Maps cache and restarting phone doesn't work.
