Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Incredible that it took four weeks to get my Incredible...
Ordered on Friday May 28. Was told I would get it around Jun 10... Called... they then said Jun 18... Called again... CS looked deep and found the original order was screwed up internally and it wasn't till Jun 1st that it was put in the queue. I was promised overnight delivery... Instead it was 2 day Fedex Delevery. I will actually see the device later this morning... Fedex says out for delivery. Woo Whoooo! At least I got it before my birthday on Sunday!
 
My phones are supposed to ship on 7/10 (ordered 6/12 I think). But, my bill is due 7/13 and I've already told them that I absolutely REFUSE to pay the bill for 2 phones that I haven't received yet. That gives them a 3 day grace period for getting me my phones. We shall see...
 
Ordered 6/3 in store and still no word. Was supposed to be here today. I am now anticipating next week...this is making me crazy...

Good luck with that. Hope it works for you but most of us have already paid for the phones when they were ordered. They sent the bill right through to the credit card company. Mine showed up as being purchased on 6/7. Guess what, no phone. If I don't get it by next thursday I will pick up a moto droid on my other line and return it when the dinc comes in. They can deal with selling a refurb obsolete moto droid after I have returned it.
 
Well good morning all, looks like some people were having fun last night with the various legal aspects of Verizon not shipping these phones on time, haha. A little over the top, if you ask me. But it certainly doesn't sound good for the rest of us getting our phones shipped on the scheduled date. That is very unfortunate, and Verizon is not stepping up by informing their customers of their rights (i.e. of getting a prompt refund since they can't hold up their part of the deal). While all the talk of arrests and criminal complaints is hilarious, they appear to be in violation of FTC Rule, and can be subject to fines and forced to compensate affected individuals. I encourage people affected to go to the FTC website and file a complaint, at least to make Verizon change their procedures, so this doesn't happen again in the future.
 
Morning Hostages - seems it got quite heated in here last night. It was entertaining reading the posts this morning. Not entertaining that I still have no shipping :(
 
Called Visa this morning. My Bill is due Monday and I explained the situation of Verizon being deceptive about Shipping Dates. Visa CS agreed that this is wrong and has held the total paid for the phones and will not hold them against my account untill next month. I explained my complaint in a calm factual manner and they were more than happy to help me out. They also said that the charges had gone thru and were not a hold. I asked about them about them billing it before the order ships and they said it is not standard for merchants to do that.

If your credit card bill is due before you see your phones I would suggest calling them and explaining the situation.

On FedEx truck for deliver to GA...I have the blinds open and waiting for a FedEx truck to pull up. This has been a long 3 weeks.
Hoping all those who are awaiting receives notifications and delivery soon!
 
Any 6/2, 6/3, 6/4 people out there that have received their shipping confirmation? Today is my day (6/4) for shipping....but I'm not going to hold my breath.
 
I ordered mine on June 2, and was supposed to ship out on the 23rd., as of right hadn't got nothing, in fact when I just called he told me 2 more weeks....I told him what I thought and then he rushed me off the phone.

Have you called yet? I am supposed to be getting a call from someone today....but to be honest I am not holding my breath!
 
So...cs told me my phone was overnighted and that I would receive by 7pm today...I didn't hold my breath. Called this morning to get the tracking # and they told me it wasn't shipped and that it could be a 1-5 business day delay...lovely. not kidding, about to go back to att and pick up the iPhone. I really don't like being lied too. .it was funny in the first half of the wait, but now that I'm at the ship date, its getting to be ridiculous. If the delay goes 5 more business days, that would put it at next Friday which would mean yet another weekend...I hope we get some shipping notices. My ship date is today.
 
Since we're all in a legal mood and the FTC Mail and Telephone Order Rule was cited yesterday, I thought this might be interesting:

6/1 here no shipping confirmation. spoke with VZ CS yesterday and was told it might get shipped as early as Monday :) I could not equal her excitement. I have already decided i'm going to use the shit out of this phone until the X can be pre ordered then return it for an X. I know its a shitty thing to do but VZ screws me every chance they get. I know i'm a small fish with only 4 phones but i actually have to work for my money and I for one a fed up with stupidity!

and sorry to break it to you
but i just got off the phone with a nice lady from verizon that decided to give me an update (diff lady than the first one)
and she ALSO confirmed the 5 day delay....i asked if it was for our region, she said she was unsure and that the 5/28 ship date that I was told yesterday may not be solid and it could be pushed back to july...

sad sad start to a beautiful morning

damn i feel for you, you ordered a day earlier than me and still received nothing? PLUS they said 6/28 was the earliest ship date?
