***Official "I will have my Droid X in my hands at such and such date" thread***

What29...you and the op are getting all of us excited!!!! The 15h is 14 days away...the countdown is going and is really slow :(

How are the gaps around screen and just in general...I am concerned about dust and etc...as I have been un-lucky in that department. Two of my incredibles had dust right out of box. :)

Wait a second...you were able to buy a Body Glove case already? Now I am jealous. Take some pictures of the X in that for us please.

I'll get some pics of the case and the X in the X in the case along with some shots of the screens/live wallpaper. I was going to take a few tonight but I had to get the yard mowed and it takes about 3 hours on the rider but vacation starts tomorrow evening. :D

C'mon...you know you want to post it now. We all want to see it. Is it better than the leather kickstand case? Does it have a kick stand? Oh man I'd love to see it.

about flashlite.....nope, i even installed the flash apk from sdk and it is a no go. it installed and i also installed dolphin hd but nothing

hulu...i searched "hulu" but did not find it. but i cant see some apps in the market yet

that is 11 hours since unplugged. i do not see an "awake time" on this like i did the Dinc. there is an up time, which is just the amount of time the phone has been turned on, wether it is plugged in or not. then there is the time since unplugged. i though the Dinc had an "awake time" which actually showed how much the screen was on or something like that.
Are you able to click on % Display? On the Dinc it tells you time on which would be similar to awake time.

Does the Droid X still vibrate like the original droid when you unlock? I can't stand that.

Yes it does and I see no way to disable it for the lock screen.

I won't have the case until tomorrow, I just didn't have time to take pics of the screen as someone suggested. They had a carbon fiber look protector for $24.99 but the CSR had no real information on it so I went with the Body Glove case for $29.99.

Would you be able to test the app "multitouch visible test" and drag your finger around fast and see if there is any touch input lag like on some evos. If the little on screen circle is behind your finger a bit then there's lag. Also on the keyboard if you type really fast does it still catch all letters? Type "hey" as fast as possible and see how responsive it is.

yes, thanx for the tip, that did work. rightnow i am only at 1h 21 min but the phone was turned off twice today so that is not a direct reflection of the last 11 hours. that 1 h 21 min is since the phone was last turned on 6h and 32 min ago. thanx for the heads up

I did install the test just now. i never ran it on my Dinc so i really dont have anything to compare to but i will say the response seems spot on, i cant imagine it being any faster. there was no unnecessary delay or trailing of the blue dot. when i got the blue and red dot close they never crossed signals or screwed up like the N1 did at times. very happy with the resutls

again, i personally am very picky when it comes to phones. i almost returned the N1 after coming from the iphone because it did not orig meet my expectations. This phone FAR EXCEEDS my expectations coming from the Dinc. everyone i have shown it to has been thuroughly impressed, except my wife who does not like the design. the screen clarity is the most commented aspect, along with the size, which may not be for everyone, it is BIG. You will not be disappointed

Thats great to hear that there is no lag on touch input. Tomorrow I have to make my decision if I want to return my inc or not. The inc is such a nice phone and a step up from my moto droid. I hear you on being picky with your phone, I returned my orig droid atleast 3-4 times to get one I was satisfied with. The X looks great I just still don't know if it will suit me better then the inc. Theres nothing the X does that makes me say I gotta have it over the inc. Decisions...

Took a quick video and did not find any video editing options. went to the camera roll and viewed the video and all i saw were option to share it. maybe missing something

also for some reason i can not download anything from the market right now, i have downloaded apps already a couple days ago but right now it is saying "download unsuccessful" when i tired to down 3-4 different apps. Will restart and see what happens.

A lot of the reviewers are saying the same thing about the phones they have.

You are right, it does not really do anything the Dinc does not. My biggest steps up are the voice call quality and battery life. the screen size is to each their own and the processors are very similar. just my reasons i made the switch

Hello everyone - a future Android user newb here. I have preordered the X but now I'm planning on accessories to get.

I know I want the car mount but does anyone know if that car mount will come with a car charger? If it does not, then would car chargers for the Droid 1 be compatible with the X? It would be nice to buy one of those cheaper Droid 1 car chargers to use with the X's Car mount..... unless of course the car mount already comes with one. Airmaxx23, perhaps you already know this?

Thanks everyone - I'll be checking this site very often with my new droid!

I looked in the Launch Package specs and looked thru the Droid X User Guide and could find no mention of video editing software. Hopefully there's an "App for that". (Wash my mouth out with soap for saying that!)

Patiently/Impatiently waiting for the release of the Droid X!

Flashlite works great on the Incredible. I can't believe Moto left it out!!

I asked before but never got a reply, so im trying again =)

On my droid I usually have problems with the headphone jack. I get static and if i move the wire too much it'll turn on/off the music playing or start up some shuffle mode, and lately its getting worst. I checked with other headsets it jus seems the input port isn't stable and its very annoying because i carry my phone in my pocket while listening to music and its always causing constant static and shut offs/ons/shuffles.

Hows your experience with the headphone jack? If you havent tried it out can you test it out jus plug a headphone in and wiggle the wire a bit.

^_^ Thank you

I think that has more to do with Sense or the browser in HTC phones are different. I could run Flash Lite on my Droid with an HTC ROM.
