Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Congrats to everyone getting their's shipped. I am still waiting for notification of my 6/8 to ship. I hope it ships soon because the longer I wait the more disgusted I get and the more I am wondering if moving my 5 lines from AT&T is the right thing to do.
 
I just spoke to CSR and she was very nice. I ordered mine on 6/16 and she confirmed to me the same thing they told me in the store, that I should have it by 7/14. At least they are starting to be a little more consistent which means that maybe like others have stated, there getting caught up and maybe we will see our phones a day or two earlier than anticipated. Maybe just wishful thinking!!!

To Verizon's credit, they shipped the phone out one day earlier than they said they would.

Now comes the drag of waiting 5 days for a device that, just this morning, left a warehouse 30 minutes from my house.

EDIT: I just checked the fedex tracking number and found out that I was not upgraded to overnight shipping. Just a heads up to those who thought that it happened for everyone automatically -- it doesn't.
 
Just called customer service. My phone shipped 6/30 to be delivered today. CSR rep gave me the fed ex tracking number. Never received an email from VZW that the unit had shipped. Bought the phone at a VZW store on 6/7 and my original estimated ship date was 6/25. Good luck to everyone.

I was an original pre-order owner, love the phone, but it was stolen Memorial Day weekend. Friend of the family is a Verizon employee so I called her up to figure out what my options were. One option was insurance replacement (but because my insurance was applied after initial 30 days, I would have to wait until July to make a claim), the other was to upgrade another line on the family plan and activate the phone on mine. At the time we decided the upgrade option would be quicker! Didn't know about the amoled shortage...

Anyways without my e-mail on the order and no tracking info (she placed the order in her store), I've been relying on this thread to get an idea of when I'll have my Incredible again!

(Just to grovel a bit more, added drama to my story is that I actually received a warranty replacement for my original Incredible because the rarely used optical sensor just stopped working. Then my phone was stolen, so when the warranty replacement got shipped to me 2 weeks ago, I had to send it back! So frustrating!)

I've watched impatiently as one FedEx truck has come and gone without any sign of my phone. I have hit the refresh button about once every thirteen seconds on the FedEx tracking page waiting for it to change from "At local FedEx facility" to "On truck for delivery" and it HASN'T! I'm going nucking futs here!!!!

Verizon managed to send a note to FEDEX to reroute my phone as I had asked them to do weeks ago. Color me shocked that something actually went right.

To recap:

Ordered - 6/7
Supposed to ship - 6/28
Actually shipped - 6/30
Would have arrived at original address - 7/1
Arrived at new address - 7/2

I am charging it now. The amber light should be solid while charging, yes? And the phone didn't turn on or anything like that when I plugged it in. Does this all sound right? :rolleyes:

Alright! THe longest suffering poster has his phone. I am very impressed, seems Verizon made a ton of progress with the phones this week. Mine is in the end only two days late, and I get a $25 gift card for the two day delay. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Congrats! I am looking out the front window every couple of minutes, and the sound of a truck I run to the window to look down the road. Happens a lot as I live in a semi-rural good ole boy truckfest of a town, haha.

Just need ANY piece of paper saying leave your package sign it and print your name and it helps to have your tracking number on it.

Ordered 6-7, just arrived. It is going back unless my droid sucks for reception at my cabin. They gave me the $25 card, $55.00 off my bill so my droid is basically costing me nothing.

In case you missed my post, I got frustrated with CS and picked up a droid for my other line.

I have been playing with both of them and to tell you the truth I kinda like the droid better but my wife likes the incredible so I guess it works out.

I will try the droid v. incredible for reception in tough areas and unless the incredible blows away the droid, the droid will stay. I used my wifes incredible at the cabin a while back and reception was no better than my cheap flip phone.(not that I was expecting it to be any better)

The incredible is sleeker, lighter and a bit more responsive. Web page loading is just about the same, you would notice a very slight difference in favor of the the incredible if you had them side by side. I like the hard keypad of the droid, it gives you a full screen when typing in the landscape mode.

Battery life is definitly better with the droid. Camera is better on the droid. Eveything else is slightly better on the incredible.

Sorry this was just meant to be a update on shipping but I thought I would throw a little review in there.

I hope you all get your phones ahead of schedule I feel for you waiting. It drove me nuts.

There is an update due for the Dinc OTA soon... it is supposed to address the signal and voice garble issues.... just an FYI
 
FedEx really needs GPS tracking on their trucks so I can know the exact location of my phone as it heads to me before 4:30 today. Not knowing the precise locale is killing me, and FedEx doesn't need manslaughter on their hands.
