"Missing Droid X Real-World Give-Away" Contest (1st Post:Updated)

Anybody in Atlanta?

Was poking around all the vzw/droid official stuff. Looked at the "App sphere" and picked Aloqa. The address in the demo was

244 Washington St SW

Atlanta, GA 30334
(a bank - though I don't see a bank in Street View. Supreme Court, etc)

works with the "Dixie" reference.

Excellent detective work, you don't by chance already have an Android phone that you could have pulled up layer while you were there?

makes sense. maybe the clues point to a nearby verizon store. maybe the Ohio clues point to a location between the Rock and Roll HOF and the Hard Rock Cafe? Who knows. But theres also the rock and roll city studios in Cleveland.

There's a ton of businesses in Cleveland with the word ROCK in their names:

Here's the first 10 as per yp.com:

1. Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame And Museum

2. Sushi Rock

3. Rock Bottom

4. Hard Rock Cafe

5. A Friedman And Sons Rock Of Ages

6. Rock City Dance Studio

7.Harry Rock & Company Inc

8. The Paul Green School Of Rock Music

9. Eagle Rock Covenant Assembly

10. Rock & Roll Fntsy Wknd Mphis

Do you think they would be obvious places like the HoF and Cafe, or small unknown places???!!??

Well according to supersaki's findings the top 4 places in terms of high humidity are places that are not in Florida.

I think since #7 is most likely in WA, #6 is most likely in FL, and #5 somewhere in TX, I think #9 is in LA.

[Edit: or maybe #7 is OR, and #9 is WA. An early tweet says #7 is in a warmer climate ...]

I don't believe they will have too many Droids in one state, since there probably isn't more than 12. Although if you go by population, there should be one than one in NY, TX, and CA

The highest dew points in the US are found in coastal Florida and Texas. When comparing Key West and Houston, two of the most humid cities from those states, coastal Florida seems to have the higher dew points on average. But, as noted by Jack Williams of USA Today,[6] Houston lacks the coastal breeze present in Key West, and, as a much larger city, it suffers from the urban heat island effect. A dew point of 86 degrees Fahrenheit was recorded in southern Minnesota on July 23, 2005, though dew points over 80 degrees Fahrenheit are rare there.[7] The US city with the lowest annual humidity is Yuma, Arizona, averaging under 50% for a high and 22% as a low. The next-lowest humidity is Tucson, Arizona, average high humidity of 57% and a low of 26%. Lowest in the world is Antarctica.

I wonder where 2, 10, and 11 are?

Just brain storming:

"Like no other phone..."

maybe hidden amongst a bunch of other phones???

Or maybe just another useless non-clue...

He chose poorly... Lols :D

Sorry, just had a flashback to the Holy Grail scene in Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade.

I am still confused how you would obtain the phone. Would you ask someone, search a random crevice? I feel like some random person who happens to be in the right place will end up getting them.

correct, but that doesnt mean the clues were?

just wishfull thinking,

true.

Though I'd like to think this is organized enough for them to get their clues ahead of time, but the crap grammar and repeated tweets makes me wonder...
