Help ***Official*** Status of your Droid X order thread

I ordered at around 11:30pm MST, it's now 11:33am and mine is still being processed. I'm calling Verizon right now to make sure everything is running smoothly because I NEED my phone Friday. My whole schedule will be ruined if it's not here.
 
I preordered from Best Buy last week in Meridian, MS. The associate said I was number 2 on the list and I should have no problem getting my phone on launch day. I called this morning and was told I was actually number 3 and only 2 Droid X phones came in. I just ordered online from Verizon and should have it tomorrow. I was a little miffed by BB after being told I would get the phone, but I can wait another day. I've enjoyed my blackberry bold, but I can hardly wait for the Droid X.
 
BTW, my order just went to the processing stage. The online chat person said my order would ship today and be in my hot little hands tomorrow. I placed the order about 45 minutes ago.

was this a chat person during order or post-order?

I can't get live chat people to consult with me about my order status, they all claim to be strictly "pre-sale"

Just got tracking info for a package that got picked up from location at 10:30 AM, now 3.5 hours later. Clearly there is some delay. Dont give up hope.

again the CSR i spoke with on the phone said that if you get this online status

"Order Status: Your order has been processed and will be shipped based on inventory availability and shipping method. You will receive shipment notification and tracking details via email. "

yours will be shipped according to your order and they do have stock for you.

If it wasn't going to ship according to your designated shipping selection they would inform you that your order is on-hold or soemthing of that nature.

You are not alone my friend. Obviously staying up after midnight to order this phone as soon as it was made available didn't matter at all. Verizon has no rhyme or reason as to how they are processing and shipping the orders.
 
I received my tracking number at 8:30 this morning, EST. It's shipping from a Fedex facility that's just a 2 hour drive from where I live, so here's hoping I get it today!
 
I ordered mine at 1:54am EST. My status still says "being processed". I called the internet order service people and was told that my order was "pending completion" and that I would receive my phone tomorrow.

Well still not updated. Ordered at 6:45 am. Still says "Your order is currently being processed. Please check back tomorrow."... Really hope it gets here tomorrow...
 
Has anyone else noticed that it doesn't matter what last name you use when checking order status? If you put anything in the box it'll still give you the status of the order number entered. I checked about 20 orders starting with my number and counting up sequentially and they all show the same thing, "Your order has been processed and will be shipped based on inventory availability and shipping method. You will receive shipment notification and tracking details via email."

Mine still indicates it is being processed, but I got the VzW email with the tracking number.....Monday delivery:mad:
 
I just got my tracking number. I placed my order at 11:30pm MST, Shipping info was sent to FedEx at 1:10pm EST, FedEx picked up my shipment at 10:54am PST. I should receive it by tomorrow at 3pm. Sorry for all the different time zones, hopefully this will give everyone an estimate on how long their orders will take.

I ordered mine via telesales at 6:15am this morning, got the confirmation email about 20 minutes later saying that it has shipped. Fedex has already picked it up and will be here before 10:30am tomorrow morning.

I am a current customer upgrading and was given the option of free 2-day shipping or pay for priority one-day shipping. Of course I payed for one-day. :D

Then I went to the Verizon store and got my accessories. I'm set and waiting for the knock on my door tomorrow morning.
 
Just received my tracking number, shipping confirmation! Mine was also reading "Order Status: Your order has been processed and will be shipped based on inventory availability and shipping method. You will receive shipment notification and tracking details via email." until about 10 minutes ago when I got the e-mail and its being picked up. Should be here tomorrow before 3:00 PM. Sweetness. Saved 10%, having to deal with mail in rebate, and free shipping, that is well worth the extra days wait in my opinion.

Same here. I got confirmation at 12:52 a.m. this morning. Still shows the same status as yours. I really wished the release date had been ANY day other than a Thursday. Having to wait the entire weekend is going to suck. And I have all but given up on getting my phone tomorrow at this point. I still can't believe Verizon's system sucks so bad that folks who ordered 14 hours later than others already have their phones shipped and will have them tomorrow.

Well those who are paying the extra for overnight should have their phones shipped to them by tomorrow...why should they have to wait any longer? :confused:
 
Also, I don't see the charges on my credit card yet. Called *611 and talked to a CSR. She said that she has been taking orders nonstop for DX since 9AM EST, but there should be enough inventory in the warehouse to supply everyone who orders by 4:30 PM today (***looking for the grain of salt on my office desk***), and there is nothing wrong with my order.. (*** OK... then why isnt my credit card charged yet***)...
CSR: I dunno.. please be patient and you will receive your DX in time...

Noooo.. just give me my phone NOW... or maybe b4 3 PM tomorrow?

*** sorry for the long rant, a few people who did the same on this forum got their tracking number immediately after, hoping for the same ****
 
I wonder if the people who got the phone only are being processed faster than anyone with accessories or 2+ phones for their family plans?

This is odd because another persons phone shipped from Philadelphia. :confused:

I live in Ohio and mine is coming from PA. Weird.
 
Just got the shipping confirmation. I ordered 1am eastern time and received shipping confirm 2:40pm. Will arrive Friday before 3pm.
