What is the coolest thing you do with your DX?

All my friends are the most amazed by the Gameboid app...and even though I personally do not use it a whole lot (as I have said before, I have been scarred by the terrible battery in the Eris...too afraid to use apps on this phone), when I show people it, their jaws...drop...

So far Gameboid is the best new trick. I am still having trouble getting ROM's to download, but the few I have gotten so far are great. Thanks for that one. What else do you guys have?

This how it was for me. Are you downloading from your phone or computer?
As soon as I started downloading from the computer every single one of them has worked. This is the guide I used:D I know its for the droid, the 2nd post:D

i WILL be using it for Remote Desktop. FTP. SSH.

my plan for this phone is to use it for about 70-80% of what I use my notebooks for honestly.

It's only just a phone if that's the way you use it.

There are lots of cool things that I do with it, but I'll pick one.

- Playing Gameboid (GBA) and other games using a Wiimote (Wii Controller) feels awesome.
That's also my favorite "cool" thing that I do with it. It would be cooler if HDMI worked properly though!

I use it to take naked pics of strippers at the clubs
Since you are apparently not taking pics of naked strippers, is it the pictures or you that are naked?

Does your HDMI output not function as it it supposed to or does it not function the way you wish it did? That could very well entail two different definitions of "worked properly".

I just took some panoramic pics recently, they're *awesome*, fun and easy! If you haven't tried it yet, do it asap!

I'm new to Android (and smartphones in general), so the coolest part for me is doing a quick Google search using voice-to-text. So freaking easy and convenient!!

The few people I've shown my phone to are pretty amazed by Swype. I know it's not exclusive to the X, but it's definitely a cool feature.

same here everyone is like holy crap! when they see swype and im dictating 1 to 1 as they are talking. They are blown away.

Overclock my computer via bluetooth.

<-- nerd

EDIT: The whole making calls without dropping them and holding it any way you want thing is pretty cool too.

I use the SlingPlayer app. Being able to watch 250+ live TV channels and control every aspect of my Dish Network DVR while away from home is awesome. :D

I used Google My Tracks app to map out a new subdivision and submitted it to Google Maps as an error/omission. They responded and said I was right and they will get back with me when the info is added. Avondale - Google Maps I also told them the cemetery was in the wrong place on the map.

If I see a storm cloud in the distance I use Radar Now or any other weather app to see exactly where the cloud is.

I used GeoBeagle to locate @DroidLanding #9, but I wasn't the 1st one there :( (That was on my Eris)

The Android OS continues to amaze me. Technology is advancing so quickly today, it's almost like magic. (ie - Clarke's 3rd law of prediction)

Using it as golf GPS for only $2. Works awesome. Sky Droid.
Setting up VPN to work and using WYSE to RDP to servers. Incredible.

Umm let's see here. It replaced my GPS and my Ipod Touch. I listen to the two most popular satellite radio shows all day at work. Now I can download them, apps, movies, etc directly to my DX using BT over wifi or 3G. No more DLing them to my laptop, moving the files, and waiting for them to xfer.

I do all my banking from my phone and if I couldn't find an app for my bank or credit card I created my own direct link shortcut with custom icon essentially creating my own app. I did the same thing with the two radio shows so I can DL them in 2 presses.

This phone has replaced all my gadgets and almost completely replaced my laptop. I just need to get another battery and I'll be set.
