What does picked up mean exactly? Is it on its way to you now?

I emailed Verizon earlier today and asked about my phone. I got a response within an hour or two, "A review of the account indicates your Incredible was shipped today." She also gave me a tracking number, it's totally different than the Location_Order#, it doesn't even have a _ in it. It got picked up in West Chester, PA @ 619PM, and left the facility at Coatesville, PA @ 644PM. I have two day, so there's a chance i'll get it tomorrow! :) :) So happy!

PS Attorney, since they gave me a totally different tracking number there is hope for you that your Location_Order# didn't work. There's hope!

Also one other thing, it says indirect signature required.. I see that they sent it to my Mom (even though it's mine) so can I leave my note with my name, address, tracking/reference #, and still have Fedex leave it for me?
 
Well if you have your own flat and they're delivering it there just leave a note telling them to leave it there along with your Mom's signature. It's an indirect signature so you can sign for her.
 
Thanks Eryk. I'll have her sign it too. Or we can avoid the whole thing, and someone can just be home :) Too bad I work 11-6 tomorrow, no chance of me being home for it haha

I still haven't but who cares as it just now showed up in the sort facility 30 minutes from here. I think I'm going to take a half day, have to see what the manager says as one of us has to be here.

Speaking of learning curves, I have never had a smartphone. I've hacked and cracked xboxs and built my own pcs and stuff but never a high tech pocket gadget. I'm going to be useless till Monday once I get this thing. Debating on whether or not to root it.

I'm not going to root it because 1. i don't even know what that does and 2. i'll probably break it haha. I'm getting it tomorrow and leave for vacation Friday, although I'd much rather stay home for a week and play with the phone haha.
 
First old school xbox I softmodded I nearly killed. I had to so broke I had to use a game just to get to my dashboard. Finally got in via FTP and fixed the files on the drive and got the box back. Took 2 weeks to from start to finish. Took 30 hours straight to add a 400gb harddrive. I need to read up on the rooting problems before I do it as the xbox stressed me out hard when I first started softmodding them.

Ordered 6/28 in store and still no info...I got the *611 message but I think that was just a teaser. I am leaving Thursday for vacation and my phone will likely be delivered while I am gone. So for 5 days I will have a try and enjoy my vacation and not look too much towards my trip home.

Don't do it.. The day you get your notification it'll make it all worth it.. You've waited this long already it'll be a waste of time to quit now.. Plus I ordered in store and got an email, there's hope!

I got the 611 message Sunday, and it shipped Monday, arriving on Wednesday. When'd you get your message? Try and add 2-3 days. I got my email Monday night.

we all got our 611 on Sunday, but yours shipped, mine hasn't, so I think that 611 one thing is not that reliable

cs did confirm again i will get an email the minute its logged as shipped in the system.
