Root [ROM]Leaked Stock 2.2 with Sense [EVERYTHING WORKS!!]

I seem to have figured out my issue. It's supposed to reboot, and then it finishes the update...at least it's doing something different this time. That's what I get for being impatient. :P

Meh...the bootleader still says "RADIO-1.00.03.04.06", and if I try to go into recovery, I get the "!" screen......rawr!

I AM able to boot into Android, and it's all stock.

Suggestions?

BAH! I'm stupid. It's been so long since the stock recovery I forgot about volume up + power. Continuing! :P

A phone symbol with '!" ? push volume up + power button, find the zip and install..

I just ninjad my post. I totally forgot about doing that. I was using clockwork for too long. heh.

So far so good at the moment.

To anyone following my chronicle for some reason, the instructions on xda for a rooted phone work fine. I'm just prone to making stupid mistakes. hehe (but luckily not ones that cause horrible things to happen).

Successfully got Android System Info, Barcode Scanner, Magic 8 Ball, Pandora, PicSay, Pixel Zombies Live Wallpaper, Root Explorer, Scanner Radio, Titanium Backup, and Wifi Analyzer to move to SD. Have a ton of apps that have the ability but fail to move for some reason, loving the freed up memory :)

Is there a fast way to move apps to SD without doing it one by one? Moving 150 or so apps by hand could take a while...

2.0.2 does work in ad-hoc mode. The latest 2.0.5.preX doesnt work at all. no SSID shows up.

That's strange. An older version works but not the latest? It works great on rooted stock rom, with or without the leaked OTA. That sucks. Oh well, I may have at it anyways. My speaker crapped out yesterday so a new phone is coming on Thursday. If I don't like it, I may just send Verizon back a little frozen yogurt with there phone.

After getting off work late I just finally got unrooted, leak installed, rerooted and have the new ROM d/l'd but not installed yet. I'll screw around with it and see if I can get it working somehow. Post back if I figure it out but it'll be tomorrow.

Awesome. Keep us posted.

i installed and everything is awesome so far! One little thing though google sky map wont install....i can live without it but any help would be great

EDIT: im actually having a few apps having trouble in the market...i remember seeing a market fix for the OTA, will that one work for this rom?

Since you have to wipe the device to install 2.2, can you use Titanium to backup all your files/settings before wiping, and then simply restore once 2.2 is installed? If so, is there anything you shouldn't restore from a Titanium backup (e.g. system files) once you install 2.2?

Has anyone else noticed memory management is completely different? seems to be better but things don't inactive as much, yet doesn't take your memory, or at least this is what system panel is showing...

phone is so much snappier :)

I also noticed google sky maps didn't work, hopefully that will be fixed when the ota its actually released or something, until then im sure Andrynalyne has some ideas :)

Also I noticed Call Confirm doesn't work on 2.2 :( anyone know something similar, i'll die without this lol

Here is a Stock 2.2 ROM with Sense based off the upcoming Froyo OTA. This is completely stock with the additions of su, Superuser.apk and busybox.

Everything has been confirmed working. Camera, camcorder, Wifi, bluetooth, GPS, MMS, etc...

A full wipe and 2.x radio is required.
See below for more information and instructions regarding the 2.x radio.

Get the ROM here!

There are quite a few new additions that have been included. New Gmail with Copy & Paste, HTC Flashlight, FM Radio widget, Calculator widget, SMS widget, Sync all widget, profile widgets, 3g mobile hotspot, genie widget, App sharing program, messaging app changed a bit, 720p recording, built in flash on camcorder, and more stuff that I can't think of off the top of my head.

Do I have the proper radio to run this ROM?

You must have the 2.x radio or certain functions of the ROM won't work. The camcorder definitely won't work and it's possible other functions won't either. Follow the instructions below you verify what radio you are running and instructions on updating to the 2.x radio.

What version am I running?

Go to Settings > About phone > Software information > Baseband version

If its 2.05.00.06.11 then you can ignore the rest of these instructions and just flash the ROM.
If its 1.00.03.04.06 then you need to update your radio.

How to flash the 2.x radio.

Rooted

1. Download PB31IMG.zip and place it in the root of you SDCARD. Make sure the FS is FAT32, otherwise PB13IMG.zip will not flash.
2. Now go to the bootloader.
2a. Run 'adb reboot oem-42' if powered up or hold Power + Volume Down if your phone is off.
3. It should automatically start loading PB31IMG.zip. Then accept it when it asks you to load it or not (pretty sure Vol Up).
4. You are now completely stock. You should remove PB31IMG from your SDCARD now.
5. Download dinc_ota.zip, rename it to update.zip and place it in the root of your SDCARD.
6. Now boot into recovery and apply the zip.
6a. adb reboot recovery if powered up or Power + Volume Down then select Recovery.
6b. Now hit Power + Volume Up to bring up the Recovery menu.
6c. Now select apply update.zip
7. Go to Settings > About phone > Software information > Baseband version and verify that it's 2.05.00.06.11.
8. Now download and run Unrevoked 3 to reroot and install ClockworkMod recovery.
9. Now you can go ahead and install the Stock Froyo ROM.

Non Rooted

1. Download dinc_ota.zip, rename it to update.zip and place it in the root of your SDCARD.

2b. Now hit Power + Volume Up to bring up the Recovery menu.
2c. Now select apply update.zip
3. Go to Settings > About phone > Software information > Baseband version and verify that it's 2.05.00.06.11.
4. Now download and run Unrevoked 3 to root and install ClockworkMod recovery.
5. Now you can go ahead and install the Stock Froyo rom.
