Droid X in the Wild

I live in Orange County so my X is already outdated. There's people already walking around with iPhone 5's and Droid Super-Dupers around here.

I've seen a few though. But I've had 2 people ask about the phone, look at it, and then offer to buy it off me because it looked cool. One guy offered $500 while standing in line at Starbucks and another while at Bloomingdales said $200 and when I said no, he then told me to name my price. Thing is, they had no clue what a Droid X was, they just saw it and wanted it right then and there.

I've got this "small town" thing wrapped up, there are about 1,500 people in my town. If you asked most of them about the Droid X they would probably say "what the hell is a droid?"

I'll one up ya. Town population of 70 here. I know of one person with the first moto droid.

Ouch! Did he just get it because the Inc and DX aren't available right now?

Lol no he got it because he heard the Droid was a good phone(he was thinking of the Droid COmmercials attacking the iphone)

he got the moto droid and droid eris confused, how idk

But he is hating the phone now ever since 2.1 hit it

I live in NYC and work in Times Square, take the subway everyday.....have yet to see someone else with one.......creepy

Our township is 250 square miles in size consisting of mostly woods, rivers, lakes and streams. I wouldn't want it any other way. NYC is 8ish hours south of me, I've never been there and I don't know if I will ever go or not. I'd rather be climbing one of the 46 high peaks in the Adirondacks than walking around a cramped city.

Nice. Can't say that I blame ya.

This thread is interesting, because I read something a couple days ago saying that they've sold close to 400,000 X's so far. I wonder if they've all been returned as defective? LOL, j/k

I wonder if there is a 'concentration' of them somewhere.

I haven't met anyone else yet with one. But, then again I've only had it two weeks and have been on vacation for one of those weeks.

I did have someone ask me what it was and when I answered, their reply was:

But it's not an iPhone.

It was just like that animation...

In my area (county population of 250k), I see more iPhones and BBs (especially Curves and Bolds) than any other phone. Every once in a while I will see a few Moto Droids. So far at work and in the wild I seem to be the only person that has a Droid X. :D

Basically same thing here in the inland part of So. Cal., though not that many iPhones. I see a ton of BBs and a fair number of Moto Droids at work, but out and about my girl and I are the only ones that seem to have the Droid X. Even then, the only reason my girl has it is because I bought it for her. :)

And you replied *Yes, I know, that's why I can actually use it to make and answer calls.* --- right? ;-)

There is, deep below the earth's crust... and they're waiting... Waiting to strike at their human oppressors! I, for one, welcome our new Android overlords.

(At least thats the impression I get from the Verizon Droid X commercials. I could be way off on this...)

That's inside the room!!

i was at work and someone who came up to me busted out his droid and droid x. i whipped mine out and we fist bumped for bein phone bros

The only time I've seen other Droid X's here was on launch day at the store.

I have yet to run into another person with it. Though I have seen and know many people with the original Droid.

Perhaps that will change when the students get back in a few weeks.

For all the time that the Droid has been out, l have only seen one in the wild. Even iphones are rare. Besides, there are a lot of different android phones spread among the carriers.

From the 'facts I bet you didn't know department.' By happenstance I have a Sony PSP sitting next to my X on my desk. Their screen sizes are almost identical.

I'm just starting to see Dinc in the wild. My guess is you won't see them for another month or so, in the wild. We are the elite first response SWAT team! ;)

Only time I've seen one was the other day at the Verizon store I saw 3 other people come in with theirs. Ive only seen one DInc so far and a TON of Droid1's. Oh, and I've got a friend with an Eris lol. I do know of a friend of mine who has an X also, I just havnt seen him since he got it so I cant say Ive seen it in the "wild"
There are a crap ton of IPhones (only seen 2 IP4's though) and BB's around my area though.
