I just found a very cool app called Edwin, Speech-to-Speech in appbrain
installed and must say its makes you feel like you have truly a SMART phone. asked it weather, time, open app, spell a word, definition of word etc etc and it spoke it everytime, tried to stump it with weather in hong kong and it told me! lol
anyway it takes voice command to a very big next level I think
super cool and free!!!

Just found this on app-brain, it's pretty amazing.
I could try to explain what it does, but just watch the video, it'll explain everything.

Merging this with a thread already made about this app. (But am keeping your title since yours is more descriptive :))

It works pretty good, it's still in beta, but definitely some potential here, anyone that has it try this.

Hit the speak button and say "Tell me about yourself"

That is pretty damn cool. Has serious, serious potential. Just gotta change that damn voice.

Had my I phone friends over last night and show them Edwin, first thing they all did was try to find it in there market with no luck. lmao

put it on british. she sounds hotter.

but i think the app name should be changed or the voice, because it's a woman voice for an app named edwin. little bit of a disconnect there.

This does look pretty amazing .... is this ONLY voice to voice though? For instance in VLingo I can say "search subject" and it will open the browser with results.

Also I assume this doesn't have anything like SafeReader that announces texts, emails and calls?

If those things were added this would truly be an unbeatable app.

It only picks up certain commands... which wasn't many in my case. And half the time it doesn't recognize what I'm asking. I'll probably uninstall until major updates, but it's a cool idea.

Loved it, until the recent update where they added Wolfram, now almost everything I say it uses wolfram to look it up. I don't even know what wolfram is.

Im curious...I've tried out and very impressed. But is there a way to text people using this app? I have tried "Text....." or "SMS....."
