Root Evo Port Test ROMs | Droid Incredible

Slightly off topic..

Can someone please tell what/ why an Update.zip file is created in my SD card after I flash to a new ROM?

I always delete it but consistently reappears after I flash to a new rom. My nandroid backups save and load where they should in the SD card. The update.zip fils is only about 820 KB. I am confused if I should keep or delete.

I have backed up from the ROM manager and within clockwork mod.

leak 2 sounded pretty good last night... very clear with decent volume over all... kept getting crappy songs though lol... sometimes pandora doesn't like me

switching to evo port now... I just have to see what you guys say is better about this... sprint fluff I can overlook for a while

OK. figured it out what the Update.Zip is through good old trial and error. It is flash recovery info downloaded from ROM Manager.

Adrynalyne- What's new in Version 3? Would like to know what to look for b4 I flash.
 
pandora radio verdict... leak 2 sounds the best... evo port sounds like its in a cave ... I'm going back to leak 2... mainly cause of hulu ... thanks for all your hard work on these ports ...
if anyone asks the file from titanium is (desktop)HTCsense 1.00, its in green and thats all you need to restore to get your desktop scene back. it worked across the roms fine and it just showed up error if the widget has changed but fixing 3 widgets is easier than doing 55 apps

Yeah, I got that one but it is AD-HOC only. What I would like is AP mode and WPA encryption. I've subscribed to the issue on GoogleCode and it looks like the EVO update killed AP mode for them too.:(

Using version 3 now. No real changes noticed from version 2. Composite TV ou still does not work. In the stock ROM, when I would connect the TV out cable, a TV icon at the top of the phone near notifications would appear that it recognized that the cable was connected (even before I connected to the TV) to the phone. With this ROM, that notification does not appear. I hope that helps you troubleshoot a solution.

FYI..Some applications would not update through the market because it would hang at the end of download. This may not be a result the ROM, as I used Titanium to install all programs (exclude system apps). The way I fixed this was that I repeatedly canceled the downloads and re-downloaded them until they finally installed. I found that I needed to download each app update individually versus having it download & reinstall all of them at once. Hope this makes sense to those that experience this.

Oh man that would be sweet.
 
So I've been using the latest Dinc leak with JUST the Evo framework today, and its working pretty well. This might be the best answer in the end. Time will tell.

I'm getting 2k more linpack than I used to, as well.

Can you get TV out working? I have tried a few combinations and haven't gotten anything to work yet :(
 
Hey guys, how is your battery on this? Mine drains way too fast! It's definitely not the apps, I think it's the HTC Sense.
 
Far as bluetooth it's the wiimote I was talking about. I'm still running the Incredible 2.2 leak and I did manage to get my BT keyboard to connect oh so briefly (and was able to type on it) but I'm not a wii owner, nor do I own any other BT gamepads. I'm looking for confirmation of a working gamepad before I go out and buy one obviously.

BTW I've heard that the 'streaming audio fix' kills Quadrant scores. It did with the Incredible 2.2. Anyone play around with that yet?

I'm so close to switching over to this one. Man, I gotta pick a horse already. Redownloading apps and setting up home screens is becoming too routine.

too early to pick a horse lol. maybe after the ota if it lives up to the hype.
I'm off to try your 8/1 leak rom but i'll be back for your next update.
So far I like this one bet.
