I figure I'll try out a couple. I've heard great things about Dolphin and Opera, so I'll likely be checking those out first. I kinda like the layout of Dolphin (from the screenshots I've seen), so I may lean towards that one. Haven't heard of xScope...I'll have to look at that one as well. :)

I can't use dolphin. It's just too ugly (the top bar). I like xScope a lot. I don't use the default browser only because of the + and - buttons that get in the way...

Just installed my free "paid version" of xScope (free to any forum members) and it is so much better than the stock browser. I feel it is quite a bit faster and much more intuitive.

I'm currently using xScope which has a LOT of additional features the default browser doesn't. Which browser do you guys prefer & why?

A review for those who aren't familiar with the most used browsers:
Browser vs. Dolphin vs. Opera Mini vs. xScope vs. Skyfire: Web Browsers comparison for Motorola Droid (and Android 2.x)

Not liking the default browser, looking into Dolphin (or was until I saw your post). Now I am interested in this XScope - can you change between desktop mode and mobile mode?

I read the review (link) you posted, but the author didn't say if it was capable of this feature or not. Thx :)

Hey Just curious, could someone give me more details about xscope or dolphin. I am the 1 person using opera mini. It is very fast and pages look good. I am curious what makes the other browsers so good.

Absolutely...You can change the user agent to Android, Android 1.6, computer, iphone, or ipad.

had the lite version on the evo and forgot about it when i got the epic. (didn't have the evo for very long.) going to send the developer a note to see if he's still up to sending full version to members. thanks for the info.

It would be nice if these forums had a black skin considering the browser destroys your battery and all I really use the browser for at work is XDA and these forums lol. I'm using xscope and I love it so far.

I had Opera Mini on my Instinct and I hated it! I only used it because the stock browser was even worse. I mean, it worked, but it was NOT intuitive at all!

I like the stock browser on this phone much, much better. I do want to try xScope, though.

so he emailed me the .apk or something, how do I install it? I did preview in gmail and said problem parsing object.

I downloaded the file - and double-clicked and it installed. Got it a couple days ago from the developer. Haven't given it a real workout - yet. Will be away next week - should be a really good test.

Only "issue" I have is that I installed App Brain last night - and it's saying that there's a newer version.

Download & install "ASTRO File Manager" from the Market. Open the app then find the .apk saved to your device & open/install from there.

I've been using the default browser but have now decided to try xscope! I emailed the developer. Thanks!

Quick question: how do you import favorite bookmarks from PC to Android?
