cache2cache ftw.
Most of us don't need anything2SD. with this ROM.
You can't flash Froyo ROMs if you partition your SD card, and it will shorten the lifespan of your SD card. Don't need it with cache2cache. You have 75mb extra to install apps. That's plenty for 99% of us.

cache2cache has absolutely nothing to do with the SD card. its simply moving your davilk cache file from the /data folder to /cache instead.to every one using cache2cache, are yall formatting sd cards?
Thanks, I guess i'm not using anything close to a lot of apps.
So. For me to get going with this (i'm sorry for the questions, but i'm still new to android, though i've wiped and reloaded WinMo roms more times than i can remember)
I'm going to backup, wipe and then run the new rom. Since I'm not going to need apps2sd here, is there another step or program to use to help reinstall the ones I have? With WinMo, I could run sashimi to reinstall all my cab files. Is there anything like that for android?
Lastly, the only experience I have with GScript was picking and choosing the scripts that were included in the 4.0.60 version of this rom. I assume some of the ones posted above aren't native in the rom. How do you get those?
Thanks!
only if you did cache2sdcache file isnt on sdcard?
only if you did cache2sd
okay, so i just want to get this down
i dont have a partitioned sd card(just regular)
so if i flash this rom and run cache2cache Gscript, it wont mess/delete/format anything on my sd card?
correct. if you haven't partitioned you SD card, you're good to go just by running the cache2cache Gscript.
do all of your wipes, flash the ROM, then let everything sync. after the sync is finished, run the cache2cache Gscript and reboot. then set up the ROM however you want.
i always recommend rebooting after running each Gscript, just to avoid any issues.

Well, I think I'm finally ready to take some baby steps away from Ivan's Offical 1.0 now with xtrSENSE 4.1 out... Problem is, this would be my first time using gscripts so I've got some noob questions.
1. When running a script, how easy is it to change your mind and toggle it on/off? Can it be done on the fly? Is a reboot required?
2. Looking at the screenshots and using the JIT_on and JIT_off scripts as examples, What would happen if both were chosen at the same time? Can both even be chosen at the same time? Maybe my perception of the screenshot showing gscripts is flawed.
3. Is there a consolidated list and explanation of the functions of the scripts somewhere? For instance, "save_clear_log"... What's it do exactly?
Has anyone been running JIT in 4.1? If so, what's been your experience? Is Pandora stable with JIT in this release?
Is there even a point to running JIT with this release?
I have not run JIT with this release, but I was under the impression that Pandora is not stable with JIT at all--including Froyo.
Do you know of a situation where you can run JIT and Pandora works smoothly?
Is 4.1 out of beta yet? I just went over to XDA and the only d/l I could find was the beta version
Yes. Google XTRSense. It's one of the first links to come up.

Is it just the Pandora that doesn't play nice with JIT on? I do like my Pandora, but I think I want this ROM more and want to try it with JIT enabled. If Last, or Slacker, or Xiaa will work then I think I can make the sacrifice.
