I bought an EVO a few weeks after launch knowing that the Epic was on the way but still had no release date. I would have ordered 2. One for me and one for the wife. But the wife is coming from a Blackberry Curve and insisted that she had to have a physical keyboard. The EVO was out for her and the Epic was in.
So she stayed with T-Mobile while I went to Sprint and I painfully waited and waited for Sprint to finally announce a release date on the Epic. Finally, we went to Best Buy last weekend to take a look at the Epic and wouldn't you know it. She didn't like it. Not one bit.
She said it wasn't really any smaller than the EVO but it had a smaller screen. Now this is my wife. She couldn't care less about GPU this or Hummingbird that. She is your average consumer. She picked it up and was turned off by how it was too easy to accidentally slide the phone open and didn't like the feel of the keyboard. She said the phone felt cheap and promptly set it down.
Told me to find her an EVO instead. Thanks babe! Could have ordered 2 EVO's a couple months ago easy. Now they're nowhere to be found!

Just sucks that we're so far behind due to phones continuing to ship with snapdragons and other outdated processors.
