Root Brand New Froyo 2.3.13

OK, so reading though all of these I am lost. I always want to have the newest best thing. I am on Froyo 2.2 and not rooted (my phone has been running great and I did not want to mess it up by trying to root).

I have downloaded the Dark Matter's nandroid. However I did not find an easy to follow step-by-step process to apply this. Is there anyone who can explain this so I don't mess up my X?

2.3.13
Root
Flyx Final
Traquility 2.3.13
and Red_UpGrade Theme

you have to be rooted to install the nandroid. once rooted download the clockwork bootstrap and bootstrap the recovery. download rom manager from the market and click restore backup and choose darkmatter nandroid. please make sure you put darkmatter nandroid in the clockwork/backup folder or else rom manager wont read it

Im might be mistaken, but the old version of the bootstrap gave ppl issues when trying to do a back up restore....what version do you have? I did the nandroid with Koush bootstrap 1.0.0.3..when its in the clockwork recovery It shows v2.5.0.6
 
Can some one tell me the time format on these nandroid backups. either I don't know the format or my clock is way off once I boot to recovery.
 
I had a rooted 2.1 DX. I tried this, and my phone is stuck at the "M" motorola icon during the first reboot after applying the zip and it won't go anywhere.

any suggestions on how i can fix this? as it stands, my phones bricked because it won't get past the M. I can't even get back into koush bootstrap.
 
Anyone have an idea when Verizon will release the Official Froyo update? Other droids have gotten to 2.2 and I haven't seen a thing yet for the DX. Sorry but I don't have enough stones to do a leak and I want the update "forrealz" LOL!

You need to have 2.2 already..
Sometimes you can get back in the bootstrap by turning of the phone by taking the battery off. Then hold power button + home button..Its worked for me couple of times...if that doesnt work then your going to need the SBF file to go back to stock 2.1.

motorola is going on opera today and they keep stating they have a surprise for android fans.. froyo for the dx maybe? lol

You should be getting 8-10 results, try searching for "history eraser".

Edit: I just installed beesley's build.prop file from the ROM manager and the Market search is now working correctly.

Ok wow looks like I missed a lot over the weekend! ok so from reading 5 pages of stuff it looks like the best way to do this now is to dl dark matters nandroid, put it onto my clockwork recovery backup folder, then install it through there installing the system only?

If your gonna dl my nandroid wait, cus as arimaxx23 mentioned I forgot to include market fix..im fixing it and I will put a link of the new dl asap.
