Meant to post these yesterday. Here are some pics of the Andida 2000mah battery from obostore.com for any one who is interested in it.

thickness is equal to the OEM 1500, so i do not expect it to be more than 1500 mah (i believe it's the 1100-1200 mah tp2 battery by them since t7373=tp2).
 
well after now like 2 weeks of the 3000 mah battery i love it... my battery easily lasts all day with heavy usage with GPS, bluetooth, wi-fi, lots of phone calls, inet use, pictures, video, etc... took a bit to really get the battery broken in but now all is well

very satisfied

Without having to wade through 12 pages of posts, were you having problems with the battery initially? Low capacity or something else or just that you didn't get a full day out of it initially? Just curious.

I'm using a Yooboa 3000 and put a Yooboa 2000 in my wife's phone. Both happy but then the wife's phone gets used very little during the day so no way of really knowing if the 2000 is as good as or better then the stock battery.
 
I have a question that might seem a tad obvious. Are the charging characteristics any different for this battery than the stock battery? The practical question and answer I am looking for is this: If I plug my phone in to the wall, with either the 3000 mAh battery or the stock battery, for 1 hour, all things being equal, can I expect the same amount of use out of each? I want to know that if I have 2 completely drained batteries, one being this 3000 mAh battery and one being stock, and I only have 1 hour to charge my phone, that it doesn't matter which battery I have loaded.

I believe that would be correct. Just know that if you use the external charger vs the htc stock plug in charger, it will take much longer to charge either battery. The external charger with the ebay package is a very very slow charge. It takes me about 12 to 13 hours to go from 0 to 100 on the external charger with my 3000. Who has that kind of time? I haven't been putting the stock back in during charge because I was worried this would mess up the calibration of my phone and the 3000 battery. Is that even something I need to worry about?

I believe you are correct. This doesnt seem to last as long as the stock battery :(. First time off the charger it stayed at 100% for quite a while and I thougt it was going to be good, must have been phone adjusting to the new battery or because I had just wiped battery stats though. Oh well, for $8 I'm not out much and have another back-up battery(makes 5 now) so I'm not out much if any.

Also, been 11 days now since ordering the 3000mah from ebay, same seller as the OP, and still have not received it. Hopefully soon.....:rolleyes:

Yeah they take awhile. But I got mine today so you should receive yours soon. The back is one that HTC should've designed for the camera lense. It recesses it back. Its just a tad bit thicker but who cares as long as my lense is protected somewhat from being laid on its back etc.
 
I have purchased both a Seidio 3500 and two Chinese "3500".

The Seidio is slightly thicker and slightly longer than the Chinese (which has a small lip/edge on it). The Seidio weighs in at 58g, and the Chinese at 51g.

I suspect that the Chinese 3500 is a re-labeled 3000, but its hard to know without a battery tester. The batteryboss.org site hasn't been updated in about a month, so...

That said, I paid $21 for 2 of the Chinese, and a battery charger while the Seidio was $60 (no charger)

Which lasts longer? That's hard to tell since my usage varies considerably by day. I suspect the Seidio does last longer, but ...

Both the Seidio and the Chinese batteries will charge on the phone to 100% and then if I pull them and charge them on the charger they will charge for another couple of hours.

Anyway, the fact that it is hard to tell which battery lasts longer means that the Chinese battery is a much better deal overall as long as it lasts for a reasonable period. The Seidio definitely doesn't' last 6 times longer!

I just wish HTC hadn't made it such a pain to change batteries. Prying the back off is annoying. I don't know how well these backs will hold up to daily battery changes.

I heard the hell out of that... they are probably made in the same factory... everyone's just paying for Seidio name.
 
I get a much longer life out of my ebay 3000 if I use the external weaker charger with the battery out of the phone. If I use the stock htc charger and charge the battery in my phone, it drops much faster. This sucks because I don't have 12 hours to wait for the external to get it full.
 
Ordered from ebay on the 6th and now today is the 20th, still no battery.....I hope it arrives soon, I really expected to receive it last week since you guys were saying that you got yours in 10 days. Already been 14 days for me :rolleyes:
 
If you just received your battery, short charge is because it's already charged to roughly 60%.

If you have been using your battery already and have been charging from low, you probably got sold a low mah battery with a 3000 mah sticker. That or you have a bad one.

I've had my battery for over 2 weeks now and my battery life has pretty much doubled from the 1500 mah batteries, but it somehow seems to charge as fast as them.
 
I forgot to add (since we posted a lot about it a few pages back so I forget not everyone reads everything) that if you charge it in the phone while it's ON, it will quick charge always (~1hr). Charge it with the phone OFF, and it will take considerably longer (not sure how long, never was awake to count). Charge the battery with an external charger, and it will take about 8 hrs and will provide you with 100% charge.

It really takes mine 12 hours on the external. every single time. I'd love 8. Some of us aren't so lucky. I tried my stock battery today for fun. And it lasted from 7 am to 4 pm with light use. Terrible. Running a HAVS kernel too.
 
Damn, I can't believe people are still having such problems. I'm stock on Froyo and with the OEM battery, I can easily make it 12 hours with medium use. On lighter days, 18+ hours isn't a stretch, and I've seen well over 24 hours a number of times. 4G is usually off, but GPS is always on (I like the location search features) and I love playing Wordfeud!

I just bought one of these batteries because I will have a few specific times where I will need it. For instance, I am running a half marathon soon and I want to play music and use a GPS tracking program for the whole run and still be able to use my phone afterward. That, or use it when I go on long trips. Every day, however, the OEM is more than adequate.
 
I got my Chinese battery today. I thought I was going to be disappointed because I bought 2 cradles from e-bay a few weeks ago. I thought maybe with the new battery the phone would not fit on the cradle- but it did. The phone also fitted- snugly- in my leather- caselogic holster. Another bonus, it also fit in my Seidio holster.

I ordered my battery on Sept 7- just received it today (20).

Interesting observations, I wouldn't have thought that the phone was capable of fast charging the 3000/3500 batteries as fast as the stock battery but you're right. I've got a Yooboa 3000 in my phone and after 3 cycles on the external charger I've just been charging it in the phone with the phone on during the night. After reading your post I checked JuicePlotter and sure enough it goes from 50% to 100% charge in one hour. Here's the chart.

If I was reading this about 1 week ago, I will disagree with you. But now, I agree; Im at 54% battery left exactly with 10 hours and 7 mins. (I work a 9 hour shift. Internet moderately, since my work does not allow internet. And I repond to text msg all day, a few mms.) Im sure my charge it will last till tomorrow morning as its almost dinner time. I have believe that bad apps has caused battery drainage. Ive hard reset my phone once, and this is my result; and with topping off with the charger. I have gone up to 22 hours a few days ago, but didnt let it drain all the way, I had about 15% left. But I will get a extened battery for the future, long car trips, vacation, hiking, camping, etc. :)

And I am using OEM battery
 
I truly believe the life and quality of these stock batteries vary greatly. It doesn't matter to me as I have this 3000, but it really is ridiculous. If they want people to use these advertised features, get a better battery technology. I keep off 4g, I turn on gps and navigation for maybe 10 to 15 minutes a day, most days no bluetooth. If I can't get from morning to when I get off work, that's just crazy. I'm a somewhat advanced user who is rooted, running a rom and kernel that is actually supposed to give me better battery life, and I know I have no rogue apps. I have no awake problems. Never have. I don't have stupid stuff synced. I have deleted all facebook, twitter type crap apps. I have never used them. Talk is always off. enable always on mobile is off. Location is even off. I've played this game with the hero and now with the Evo. HTC isn't winning me over with their batteries. I might make a call tomorrow to see what I can get them to send me, since it's pissing me off just typing this.
 
I'm stock and on Froyo too. I love playing wordfeud also. I work in a basement where I get hardly any signal but I can get on my works guest wifi. My phone drains from being down there in the basement without a signal so I can really say how long my regular OEM Last. I take my charger with me to work and plan on leaving it there once I order this charging cradle this week. I text and I am on the internet alot and I email. I turn off Bt and gps when I get to work. Even when not at work and going out for the night my battery is real low after a few hours. I think I should get more out of it but I gave up and just ordered the 2 x 1500 with charger off 3bay for 10 bucks and I had my TP2 battery so I have a total of four. But I wish sometimes when I am out it wouldn't die so quickly. I have done the battery tips but I do auto sync a few things. But I still love this phone and it's the best I've ever had. I still may try on of these batteries just for the heck of it. I just don't want the extra back and then my Seidio case won't fit. But it's weird how some people get so many hours and even a day and I never have.
