Get the VZW Extended Battery FREE!

Fed Ex just delivered my new 1500mAh from HTCpedia.....don't need a new back since it's the same size as the standard battery. Am happier now,...so very happy. Was getting embarrassed to always be lugging my charger with me...and being teased about my "bad ass" phone......

how much was this battery I'd like to get this.. dude turn off 3g once in a while too, I get 2-3 days on a stock battery if I want.

I bought my Incredible yesterday with the extended battery and backplate right away. Im a big user of Slacker and Pandora radio and those apps drain a lotta juice. Now Im looking for a charger that can charge batteries out of the phone to carry a fully charged spare.

I bought a 2600mah extended battery and an additional three 1500mah batteries right after I bought my phone, but I have not used any of them in months. 2.2 combined with some tricks to save battery life have made it possible for me to get through the day w/o having to charge. Though I still bring a charger with me at all times. You never know.

Isn't the stock battery 1300mAh? I don't see how 200mAh can make any difference at all.

And you guys that can last days with the stock battery must turn it off for most of the time. I don't see how you can get more than one day!

they gave me the 2100 for no charge .then i complained i bought a seidio case and holster and they credited my account $ 45 .free shipping.call technical support not customer service .i had a problem with my backup contacts and mentioned how the battery stunk in this phone .ask them to help you resolve your battery issue .

My mother in law got the 2150 because of sending back 4 BB storms and 1 Storm 2, she didn't like it. I got it for free, i love it !!!

I got 2 extended batteries (one for me and one for the girlfriend) after I called and the guy was extremely rude, he told me he doesnt have a supervisor and the only thing he can do is send me new phones, which who knows what problems those will have too. I dont see how sending out new phones will fix a software issue. We did a factory reset to both phones and battery was still horrible. I did the survey after the call and recorded a comment.

A supervisor called me on monday to ask me about what happened. I told her the guy was clearly lying and that im extremely disappointed with my verizon experience since we got these phones. She asked if I have tried an extended battery and I told her no and nor am i going to pay 100 dollars for a problem that i didnt create. She sent me 2 batteries for free with overnight shipping. My battery life lasts forever now.

I was really willing to pay the ETF and switch to another carrier. Its ridiculous that you have to threaten to cancel service to get any good customer service.

The stock battery issue is not Verizon's fault...the battery was chosen by HTC, the manufacture of the phone. So, to guilt Verizon or threaten them with leaving to just get a better battery is kind of low class. I am just saying, the battery is not Verizon's fault. Now the poor quality of service from the initial sales reps is another story, but it sounds like in most cases Verizon supervisors made a more than reasonable attempt at resolving it.
If someone does not like the stock battery, then they should pay for the extended battery, not scheme to get a new one. When you purchase a phone, you are buying everything that comes in the box...not something extra. That is why extended batteries, cases, etc are called accessories. Just my opinion.
Hope I didn't sound too harsh, because that was not my intention. It just so many bad mouth Verizon as being some big evil corp that people should speak up more in their defense. And, no, I don't work for Verizon...I am just a long time customer.

Check the actual readings, not what's printed on the battery.

Come on now dude, its not so much being unhappy with the battery life. It's clear that the Incredible has a widespread problem with battery life, and while HTC supplies the batteries, we as customers buy phones from Verizon not HTC. We expect phones that we shell out money for, pay a $30 monthly charge for data, and whatever other plan we have for 2 years, to have acceptable battery life.

really? considering after the 2.2 update i have 10 more programs running in the background (which VERIZON installed) which kill my battery life. Also if Verizon tested the software they were pushing out maybe the problem would not have been as bad.

On top of that, since i bought my phone from Verizon not HTC, I expect Verizon as the middle man to take care of the problem with HTC. When HTC proposes a phone to Verizon, Verizon gets to test the phone out and see if anything needs to be changed. You know, prototypes. Well Verizon should have said this battery doesn't really last as long as it should, were not selling this device until the problem is fixed. Just like they should have done with the amount of units available for sale so that customers don't become unhappy with Verizon. But Verizon, like most other companies, is all about making money and not necessarily caring for the customer. I remember when they were giving out $50 credits to peoples accounts because they told customers a time when they would have their phone and they were late, again not their fault because HTC were the ones not producing fast enough, but they are the ones that deal with HTC we deal with them.

So if you want to pay for a battery then be my guest. I'm sure Verizon loves you for it but since I already pay $200/month for at least the next 2 years and the past 7 I expect for them to resolve my issues and make my phone work as a phone not as a paperweight that needs to be recharged every 5 hours.

If you wanted a phone to last days at a time on a single charge, you should have gotten a regular phone instead of a smartphone. What the people want is a high performance, slim phone. Thus a small battery. Like a few have said in other threads about battery life: You can't buy a supercar and expect it to get 53 MPG. You wouldn't go back to the dealership to complain and demand free gas, would you?

Bravo!

+1 to this.

I'll 1up this by saying I complained to customer care on the phone. After 2 replacement stock batteries and threatening to leave, they finally sent me a brand new extended battery free of charge with overnight shipping.

You push hard enough, something is bound to budge. I went through 3 Eris' and then got a free Droid Incredible and got to keep the Eris which got sold for $150, all I had to do was cancel my old contract and open a two year.

why do you view getting a battery for free as scamming .i told vzw customer service i was not happy with the way the phone worked and since i cant get another one for 2 years im not paying $ 200 a month for a service on a phone i cant use .i explained i can get a crappy cell phone from sprint for half the price and half the monthly fee .if the droid incredible advertisement said the phone dies in 4 hrs ,do you think anyone would have purchased it ? i told vzw that i pay higher monthly fees with them and spent more money for a premium phone because i expect to have no problems with my phone or service .they actually told me that their service was better than sprint .my reply was that at least with sprint if i have problems i wont feel as stupid because im only paying 69 $ not $ 200 .they offered me a solution to a $ 200 phone that can only be used for 4 hours by sending me a free battery .wasnt looking to scam them i was actually looking to dump my service and go to sprint .the battery issue is a problem they have to deal with .also i said if they are sending me the battery they must know its a problem and should have mailed it to me without me having to call and complain .they should send all droid inc customers this upgrade ,not just the people who complained about it .

ps , do you think its fair they are selling this battery to cust who have phones that die quick and at the same time giving it to other cust for free ?that is actually kind of low class as you say .if its htc fault let them work it out .i pay alot of money for verizon home phone ,internet ,fios tv and cell phone .i dont expect crap for my money and they agreed and fixed my problem.

Wow...

All I'll say is a carrier does not manufacture the device nor can they predict how every user will ultimately use their device.

Wow...
