Help Something weird has happened since I updated to 2.2

My friends have been telling me they do not get some texts from me anymore. For example, I would be texting a friend, and he wouldn't get 2-3 texts that I sent.

Also, if I send a large text convo, half the text in the convo gets cut out and my friends only receive some of that text conversation, usually the middle gets removed and beginning and end are received by them.

wtf is going on?
 
Haven't heard of that one before. At least not specifically to froyo. I've had friends tell me they didn't recieve this text or that text, but heck that's happened since I started txting 8 years ago.

I recently had a convo with a friend he didnt receive half my texts I sent.

This problem only started happening after I updated.
 
i have never had any texting problems with Verizon and i have been with then for at least 7 years.. maybe longer
 
What messaging app are you using? Stock. If not stock, try uninstalling your app and then reinstall it. This might help you.

What do you mean by stock? I dont think i'm using that, I'm just using the default text app.

Does anyone know if theres a way I can reset my phone?
 
Stock = Default.

Search the support forum again for you issue, I think there is a thread about this already.

would you happen to know how I reset the stock? I just reset my phone ill test out texting now to see if it's fixed.
 
DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THE EFF IS GOING ON?

I am soooo stressing over this! This is ridiculous!

I restored my phone and the texting problem has not been solved!

Are you sure they aren't LYING to you. Sorry to say but I would believe that long before I believed they didn't get the text...................UNLESS they have an iPhone ;)
 
Have you tried clearing the cache? Seems to fix my problems. If that doesn't work take it to VZW.

Yes, the people telling me my texting is messed up have iPhones

how do you do that? i reset my phone, isnt that the same as clearing your cache?

and there's the problem...Guaranteed it's on AT&T's end, not your X or VZW's.

You have anybody on Verizon, Sprint, or T "not so" mobile you could test a bunch of text to?

Well I tried with my two people who live in the same house as me, and they are both on Verizon. The texts were not messed up in any way and arrived on time. Maybe it is just the AT&T network. But how do I know for sure?
