This is interesting, because I've always thought - without bothering to seriously work it out - that buying a phone outright rather than on contract is cheaper. Well, based on your contract, that works out at

I thought about going on that tariff too..but ask yourself this. Do you do an awful lot of calling?..If not, go for the

I just dropped them an e-mail to customer service,if they will give me an honest answer I don't know. I asked if I was to order today would I receive a phone with the first batch of stock they receive or would I be waiting till the second batch came in because all the first lot has been covered by pre-orders already

Congratulations on your 100th birthday!
Another thing that interests me about Tesco is that I believe they use O2, which shows good coverage where I live. I'm currently on Orange, and their coverage is not great here. I was hoping for better things with their merger with T Mobile - but their coverage is even worse!
So (thanks to my 30 day SIM only policy) I think Tesco - here I come.
Damn,I don't feel too eager to use these now
Stupid question but does this mean the MPD tariff are incorrect according to T-Mobile web-page.??
Can MPD change there tarrif?
I would now after seeing those T-Mobile prices haha
MobilePhonesDirect are in essence a reseller so they can charge what they like for the handset and mix and match the tariffs up.
MPD will not align them to match T-Mobiles as then they would have no purpose as a business.
But what I would do is get your order in before they catch on and want to change their pricing for the phone![]()
I ordered the phone on the 22nd of Sept... If they can change the deal, I may aswell cancel and deal direct with T-Mobile?
As I've stated, they can't "change the deal" as you have already agreed to buy it at X price.
Woops sorry, misread in my excitementThanks. Hopefully MPD will be shipping sooooooooon!
I'm tipping you will yours before me as you had your pre-order in longer than me (mine was on 03-10-2010)
Hopefully!! At the same time I ordered the phone I ordered a case from HTC direct.... Got a confirmation e-mail saying we expect stock in 45 working days! Hopefully the phone will come before the case!![]()
You will know if you have passed as MPD will progress the order as normal..If you fail they will contact you and advise you.
If you can't pass on a sim only contract then there isn't a great chance you will accepted on a normal phone contract. But saying that, lets all hold out hope for you

Hope that link helps you.
My advice to you is to keep an eye out on your order on MPD. If it turns to despatched, which hopefully will be soon, then you will have passed. As I said though, if there is a problem, MPD will contact you anyway. Don't worry so much xD
