Root Raptor v0.1 Release super fast and stable

Well unfortunately I believe I have discovered another problem The apps to sd function does not seem to be working the way it does on velocity. Allow me to explain. I have my card partitioned and when I put the nandroid back on with velocity I have tons of internal space vs. Before when I had no partitoned sdcard and put on a nandroid with velocity I had only say 25 mb. Now with that same partitoned sdcard I put on the nandroid with Raptor and I have 35 MB Vs 76 MB when I install velocity. Sure its not complete proof but it looks quite likely to me that the apps to sd is not working on Raptor but is on Velocity.
Can anybody else verify this?
 
FYI I also had issues when I tried restoring using the Titanium Backup app. I'm about to test restoring with AppMonster and I'll post the results shortly.

EDIT: AppMonster worked pretty well. It creates a folder on your SDCard called "Appmanager" and copies all the .apks there. Just copy that off to your PC prior to whatever you're going to do to yuor sdcard and then copy it back to the sdcard after. The apk files can be restored from Astro or OI File Manager (probably others as well). You can also redownload AppMonster from the market and then use it to reinstall the apps. It doesn't restore data or settings, so you will lose those and have to redo them. That's something I really appreciated that Titanium Backup did well.

Did you wipe the ext partition before flashing Raptor? We have had numerous tester go from v.3 to raptor without any issues so far but if you like you can jump in the irc channel and I can see if i can help you?

With the office app I'm getting ' Thinkfree Office cannot be activated on this hardware device' dialog. I've tried clearing caches, but same result.

The flashlight was a :( but fixed now.

This rom has been a perfect fit for me other than the office thing :)

This is the Best rom out there IMO.

killertonez got the fix up for Thinkfree Office. I had to reverse the order and flash the Update first and then the Office app ?? It worked for me and this rom is fast and
clean.

I'm going to try this ROM now...but it kinda feels like I'm cheating on Trident.

I'm going to get a higher class SD Card tmrw because I do experience some random reboots on V3 and some sluggishness when I slide the keyboard and have to wait for the icons to re-appear. Also, the music player widget crashes a few times a day.

One thing I noticed, when I added JiT, calculator and TD Ameritrade stopped working. I found comparable APPs so it's ok.

Now to my biggest concern...FreeDi Youtube Download was recently suspended from the market. I have it on my V3 but how will I pull it into my next ROM (V4 or perhaps this one??).... is there a Windows application that can pull APKs off the phone?? Thank you all

You can use Titanium Backup or Apps Monster to back up your APK's
 
I love this ROM. The green input boxes adds a sick touch. So far I like both ROMs equally but Velocity's No-Ads helps certain Apps run better...Angry Birds, for example, has sluggishness when the ad loads and reloads during play.

Is it wrong to ask if there's a way to bring that script that disables Ads to Raptor?
 
RageXicity, could you give a breakdown of the screenshot you posted earlier with details (what it is & where to get it) on the wallpaper,clock,& dock? I downloaded and installed Raptor but couldn't find those cool items. Thx
 
I'm trying to figure out how to install the raptor file in my Ally's directory. So far I've done everything and nothing has come up. I need some help and the chat live feature is not working for me.

Please help me

after you download it just add the widget and select the setting to change the clock skin to "Droid Flip". (A quick way to find it is to sort all the clock skins by Downloads) "Airportone" is another really good clock skin

I like Raptor a lot. I know these ROMs are a work in process, so I'm definitely happy to see such progress in Version 1...
The battery stats doesn't seem to be matching up. I didn't charge my phone overnight but my battery stat only showed 2 pieces missing, however, I was at 52% according to settings. I'm willing to retry the entire flash process once my new SD card gets delivered. Maybe that will fix it.

Another thing I'd like to inquire about is that the icons in the status bar to remain green. The alarm clock icon is gray and the 3G icon is gray. Can these be green like the clock and battery?? Maybe in Version 2??

And quick boot "reboot" rebooted me 3 times in row. I won't be touching that again, but quickboot recovery is a nice touch. That's probably not a Raptor issue.

Also, FYI, zero force closes from ANYTHING in 24+ hours use. Not a widget, app...nothing... The Music widget gave me a hard time on Velocity.
