Update From Mobile Phones Direct

I went around town and nobody seems to be able to come close to MPDs 18 month deals.

Does anyone have good experience of what 3 are like? I've always avoided them because I always assume they have poor reception everywhere :x

I'm a bit worried of going with T-Mobile but the merge with Orange has given me some confidence.

Hi, this is my first post, but been loitering around for a while.

I am the same as you Astral, i have considered cancelling my deal with MPD, but i can't get a deal as good as the one from MPD. The deals for 18 month contracts are way worse in comparison and don't want a 24 month. So as much as i don't want to have to wait, i think i will have to.

I visited two '3' shops this lunch time and got two different stories (this is becoming a running theme).

One said they would sell PAYG for

Has anyone ordered from Buymobilephones.net ?

I ordered from them mid-october and they still say they are awaiting stock, Very tempted to cancel and go with P4U.

Any news?

I have bought a phone via them before. Can't comment on stock/DHD but we had an issue with the phone and I found their tech support department helpful and knowledgeable.

Not sure if that affects your decision in any way but lets be honest, if you have a problem with a handset you buy from CPW/P4U you may well have difficulty.

New guy here :)
First Smartphone, i've had 2 "okay" phones and an iPod Touch 2G for the past 2 years and am happy to get this AMAZING phone

However, I got it on

MPD have generally been good with me, but having pre-ordered for the first time with them, its a far different experience. I would have waited until this week had my finances been sound, but pushing next when I fly out to Hong Kong..no thanks.

I've got fed up of waiting for MPD to get their finger out. As soon as e2save despatch I'm cancelling with MPD

Works out

No worries.

If your not in a rush, and the demand will go down once stock starts to come out more, I'd wait and get it that tad cheaper :)

Basically Quidco and TopCashBack are customer cashback sites. In essence, what you do is you sign up to them, log in to your account and search for the merchent (IE, Dabs, or BT Shop) and click the link through that site. When you complete that purchase of that site, you get

MPD have lost another customer, pleased to say I'll be getting my DHD tomorrow, wish I'd known they were in at e2save earlier :)

hi guys really considering cancelling my mpd order, can anyone let me now how easy it is to cancel an order.. is it just through email and has anyone done this recently... or experienced any problems such as failure to cancel etc?

thank you! :)

Yes, they seem to have been good with cancelling from what I've read on here.

For my cancellation I just replied to my invoice with a request to cancel - it goes to the same address as the webform.

If I hear nowt back by the end of Thursday, I'll ring them

Yeah its really lame. It's like they're more eager to reply to customers who want to cancel rather than reply to those who ask questions about delivery times and what not. Sod them...

sorry newbie not sure where to put this, so here goes. have been reading story about no show with mpd and i thought i had ordered from them(sorry dumb grey) and was expecting the email say no stock and i got txt by phone saying on its way with dhl .
